cozy little bar in Brunswick, tucked away just off the main Sydney Road. lots of cocktail options. $10 mulled wine, next to an ice cream shop.

the atmosphere and ambiance is dark, and they usually have happy hour specials like $10 pints, $9 wines and $9 basic spirits. Saturday nights have $15 whiskey and Ameretto sours.

I had a rough go at Daddy Bar. Not long after I rocked up, this fiery little bloke with bright red hair stormed over, accusing me of nicking his bag of drugs. The whole thing was bloody weird and made me feel pretty uncomfortable.

What really threw me, though, was the barmaid - she just stood there watching like it was no big deal, like she'd seen it all before. Didn't even bat an eye. The whole vibe was off, so I bailed pretty quick. Safe to say, I won't be heading back to Daddy Bar anytime soon.

What a fabulous little bar hidden away just off Sydney Rd. Would have never know it existed if I wasn't meeting a mate there to listen to some DJ's on a Saturday night.
It was a cold night outside but warm inside and the mulled wine was a real treat.
I'll be back.

Everything you want in a dive bar, great cocktails and open more than others in the hood. Intimate and comfortable, like any regular anything should be!
DADDY BAR is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 PM to 11 PM. They're also open Thursday from 4 PM to midnight. On Friday and Saturday they open from 4 PM until 1 AM the following morning.
