The Dalrymple Hotel is a great pub for a drink and food, great food actually, especially the scollops on the menu, the scollops are the best scollops I've ever had anywhere, nice view of the sea while you eat.

Ate here on two nights - Monday night had a great selection on the specials menu. The chicken curry (cooked by a Nepalese chef) was to die for, followed by apple, chilli and palm sugar crumble. Next night from the standard menu roast pumpkin followed by a rather dry chocolate and peanut butter brownie - hence only 4 stars. Lovely place and people.

Drove from Black Point to the Dalrymple to have a meal for our 50th wedding anniversary.
We'll, it wasn't just a meal, it was a fantastic meal, with great service.
We both thoroughly enjoyed the beef tartare and scallops, the beef tartare was one of the best we've eaten, in fact it was so enjoyable that we drove down again a few days later to enjoy it again.
Hope it's still on the menu when we're here again next year.
