My two friends and i had decided to get dinner last minute.
We were so thankful they were so approachable especially close to the kitchen closing time.
It was Parma night so of course we decided to go with a parma, some different options on the menu to what I see everywhere else. The chef said she creates the menu herself. Great sized meal I got the "BAH Parma" - bacon, avocado & hollandaise sauce. Was delicious , staff were great to have a chat with nice country pub, would recommend stopping for a delicious meal 100%

Friendly staff, clean rooms with great access, microwave/kettle/toaster/fridge in room. Excellent, well priced meals.

This pub is amazing. Massive portions for prices from last decade. Everything tasted awesome and service is top notch. We had the scotch and fish and chips. Almost could not walk out after the meal. Walking distance to free camping area to be missed if you're in the area.

OMG. the most welcome meal after kayaking 50kms down the Glenelg river with George.
Jess cooked the best ever medium rare steak ( courtesy of some Queensland beef farmer). The seriously best steak in Victoria have ever tasted. And I love to eat...

Pulled on for lunch. The starter size garlic prawns were very very nice perfectly cooked. The salt and pepper squid was average. The chips were over cooked.

Came as a large group The nine meals ordered were excellent. The size and quality were fabulous. We highly recommend the restaurant.

after a week of camping off grid, this pub meal was amazing. Good old fashioned pub grub, large serves and friendly service. We attended on a Thursday at lunch time and couldn't have been more happy with the service or the food.

Had dinner at the pub tonight!

Great atmosphere beautiful cold drinks and fantastic food we had a great dinner and a fantastic night with friends.

Carlton draft schooner was sour and was not great for $8.50- I ask the question- was it real? ( last pub I went to in Warrnambool I swear it was light). Chicken schnitzel at the bar- was good, chips a bit under done (otherwise would have been great) , salad was great- nice balance . Thursday night in bar - ok - locals friendly cause I was wearing boots like them- all good for me - but what if I bought the Mrs- I gather weekends and more customers make the bistro worthwhile. Overall for a $33.50 spend- a bit rich (only cause I know how much it costs wholesale and there is very little labour in it). I don't go out much (ie indoors) and many would be the opposite of me- so worthwhile judging yourself

After looking for accommodation with Mr Grumpy in Hamilton and a phone call to Mrs Grumpy in Port Macdonnell, the publican at Dartmoor was a pleasant surprise, great feed, good room, friendly people and a beaut town. Kelpie dog welcomed too.

The rooms are adequate for 1 or 2 nights
There is no vending machines or deli/cafe nearby you have to go into the front bar when wanting some refreshments

Well what an experience. Never again to enter the Dartmoor Hotel. Under staffed for a long weekend. Meals advertised with vegies or salad. Not a vegie on the place. There were a couple who were staying in a room there who waited for over an hour and half for their meals. There was a large table of people who had meals and a couple went hungry as orders were stuffed up. The young lad we spoke to about the people waiting for their meals to ask how long it would take he never checked and came back with an answer was very rude. Many people that were there come every year at this time will not be back. The meals were tasty but so disorganised. The owners had better pick up their game otherwise word of mouth doesn't take long to get around.

Friendly country pub. Great food in clean environment

We have been travelling around australia, and have got to say, there's something about your hot chips that are just phenomenal. Whatever you're doing, keep it up! Best hot chips so far and we've done 3/4 of aus?

Awesome little pub. Some seriously amazing food! I was not expecting the food to be that good and it was one of the best meals of our trip!
