Duke Of Wellington

We recently dined at The Duke of Wellington with a large party of 13. The staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. The meals were fresh, generously sized and presented well on the plate. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff went out of their way to ensure our night was a success! We will definitely be back! Thank You to You All! 😊

Very disappointed in some of the Menu selections which are misleading to Coeliacs. On ordering a 220gm Rump Steak - GF a side of sweet potato fries -GF and a garden salad - GF, I mentioned the work Coeliac and the girl said just a minute I'll check with the Chef - so he then goes on to explain the sweet potato fries are GF by ingredient but cooked in same oil as other gluten products. He then offered me other sides that were only indicated V. not GF and when I brought this to his attention he just waved his hand and said that's a "typo". So how confusing is all that and who can you trust. Needless to say I declined to order anything as obviously there could be more "typos" in the menu.

Nice pub tucked away in new Lambton. For a Saturday night Live entertainment was playing different bands or solo singer's food looked really good. A great area for people who want to watch the football big screens to watch it on...

Meals at the Duke are very hit or miss. We had the S&P squid and steak sandwich off the lunch specials menu. Reasonably priced, however the steak was tough and the squid didn't have much S&P coating. The staff are always wonderful and accommodating.

Have never stayed here so can't speak to the quality of the rooms, but we've been coming here for dinner and trivia most weeks since Nova trivia moved from LPH to the Duke. We've had the odd meal that was a bit average, but usually the food is great and the trivia is consistently good. The only thing that's annoying is getting a park nearby and that's not the pub's fault.

Ok Pub meals are Pub meals. Once in a while you find good Pub with a good Pub Meal. The Duke of Wellington has good pub meals. had the Pork Belly and Crumbed cutlets. I'll start with Pork belly, tender pork with super crisp crackle. The side was mashed pumpkin and Bok choy was fresh and tasty.
The Crumbed cutlets had crisp crumb with tender lamb very tasty. Will come back for a meal next time Im in the area. Thanks for great meal

Haven't been to the Duke in years, man I miss it. Good feed. Small win on the pokies and the bar-staff were really cool. especially Grace really bubbly, happy soul. served my Gin and Tonic just the way I love it. I'll be back.

I would have rated higher but the fridge had mould. Nice and clean room and bathroom. Some signage for accommodation would be beneficial. The bar staff were lovely.

Expensive food that is ok all depends on how kitchen is doing
I've had way over cooked steaks and boring ribs with small but responsible salads the chips are not great.

As most places are basically terrible it's ok.

Food is great, service is great. Absolutely love this place! They have some great deals mon-friday aswell :)
