My wife and I stopped in for dinner while driving back to Hobart and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! We shared the fish of the day, which was pan-seared Blue Eye Trevalla (also called Blue Cod, Deepsea Trevally), and the "small" bowl of seafood chowder. This was the best meal I have had in all my Australia travels (10 days so far on this trip, plus a trip in early 2020)!! I had never heard of Blue Eye Trevalla and loved the thick, white filet with just a little flavor added from the pan searing. The seafood chowder is in a cream base, loaded with 4 kinds of seafood and no potato filler - best I have tasted anywhere! The staff is very friendly and very helpful! The barkeep allowed me to taste the 2 Chardonnays before ordering to find the drier Chardonnay (Bream Creek, a local vinyard) for my wife. My beer was cold and refreshing and tasted great with the chowder. Sandy was very helpful with service and tips for driving back to Hobart! We will definitely eat here again!!
