My wife and I stopped in for dinner while driving back to Hobart and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! We shared the fish of the day, which was pan-seared Blue Eye Trevalla (also called Blue Cod, Deepsea Trevally), and the "small" bowl of seafood chowder. This was the best meal I have had in all my Australia travels (10 days so far on this trip, plus a trip in early 2020)!! I had never heard of Blue Eye Trevalla and loved the thick, white filet with just a little flavor added from the pan searing. The seafood chowder is in a cream base, loaded with 4 kinds of seafood and no potato filler - best I have tasted anywhere! The staff is very friendly and very helpful! The barkeep allowed me to taste the 2 Chardonnays before ordering to find the drier Chardonnay (Bream Creek, a local vinyard) for my wife. My beer was cold and refreshing and tasted great with the chowder. Sandy was very helpful with service and tips for driving back to Hobart! We will definitely eat here again!!

Staff amazing in this old pub. Glenn the barman very friendly and good for a chat, a great guy. Beer was cold, service excellent - even the kids were welcome.
Food was amazing, good selection on the menu. Staff very attentive, particularly Sandy, who ensured we all were well looked after. She made the kids feel special and important. Food served quickly and tasted amazing. Clean plates all round.

Fantastic pub to stop at for lunch or dinner! We pulled in on our way back from Port Arthur for lunch and all four of us were thoroughly impressed by our meals and the service! Good hearty meals that taste great, comfy bistro area and really lovely people. Highly recommend!

We were camped out the back in our little bus. We ended up going in twice for dinner, which is something we never do. The seafood chowder is the best I've ever had. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked and the chicken schnitzel was excellent. And the roaring log fire was so comforting on a freezing cold night.

My husband and I had lunch at the Dunally Hotel. Battered Ling with salad and chips were fantastic. Loved the mashed avocado a nice touch to the salad. The Fried Squid was the best I have ever tasted.Highly recommend this is a great place to eat. Congratulations to the new owners
