East End Cellars

Steak sandwich... not. Had to wait, I think they forgot us. Then our came a roll of some sort with some lettuce and a thin cut piece of meat in the middle. Was not cheap. Don't do it. Beer was cold. Nice spot. Just a rip off and not value for money in any way.

A wonderful light lunch & drinks. Mozzarella & samuli fritters were light, crunchy and delish. Beef short rib & French onion toast was delightfully full flavoured. Outdoor seating is a great spot to relax. Menu includes original options, unfortunately calamari was not available.

Unfortunately the noise from in the main East End Cellatlrs at the Sam Barry Ernie Loosen was so loud that we couldn't hear the presenters. A few of the people at the end of my table stood up and moved closer to the presenters so they could hear. I understand that Friday afternoon is the busiest time for the cellar. It's a pity that I couldn't hear the amazing wealth of knowledge that the presenters had to impart on us. As a winemaker it would has been great to hear about the wines rather than just taste them.And that the only toilet is located in the area of the Masterclass. Other than the noise issues it was a beautiful tasting

Was recommended the food and drinks. Had high expectations. Did not quite meet it. Service was basic. Mostly self serve. Food was average. Had the feed me option. Could have been better and more money for value. Not impressed.

This is the first time we've gone into EEC hoping for some food. It blew us away, the steak frites was perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. A down side was the sauce was quite minuscule, it would've been nice to have more beannaise in the dish. The staff checked on us to make sure everything was to our liking, too.

The variety of wines and drinks on the menu were extensive and plentiful. Something for everyone.

The thing that let us down was when we first walked in there were plenty of staff sorting glasses along the bar, and wandering around but no one welcomed us and asked if we needed a table. We had to approach someone. Other than that, can't fault this place. @kirbystaltari
