This would have been a 1 star but the saving grace was the waitresses that were on tonight.
My father ordered a burger from here only to see that it was quite raw. So he took it back and asked for a new one cooked. It got to about 25-30 minutes and I went up and asked how much longer it would be. The lady who served me tonight blonde hair was a gem and was so nice. She went to one of the men in the kitchen and asked how much longer. He responded not much longer. Which I did ask for a more exact time as we had already been waiting for 25-30 minutes. He then came back at the waitress "it will be done when it's done" she even had a shocked look on her face when he said this. I was honestly so gobsmacked with that response. If only you had cooked the patty right the first time we wouldn't be in this situation. 13 yr old kids at maccas could have gotten it right the first time! Disgusting behaviour from a "chef" more like a "cook" with that performance and quality.
My food was okay the pulled beef was a little dry and no seasoning. My nans salad dressing was a little sour she mentioned. I do wish for other future guests's experience to be better than my father's was. But with a cook like that man. I don't see this happening unfortunately.

Had lunch here with friends haven't been here for years, the best fish and chips and salad That I have had anywhere for years , a great afternoon, will be back .

Absolute shocker tonight. We waited for two hours for our food and one meal out of six was missing. We were then informed that they had run out of that particular dish despite it being ordered at 7pm. We put an order in for the salmon which we were told they were cooking it only to discover they hadn't started it yet and my friend was offered a refund and left hungry. It was very disappointing as we usually have good service and food. Not happy as meals were luke warm. Let's hope next week is better.

Nice meal & atmosphere early Aug 2024.
Well-prepared beef meal from the specials board very tasty, meat falling away from bone nicely, & good size.
Chicken meal also tasty, good size, a little drenched in sauce but ok.
Meals not cheap but reasonable value, well worth revisiting & trying something else on the menu.
Drinks & atmosphere ok.
Not a bad pub.

We dined here the day after Valentines (as my friend sent a photo of her food). I had the pork belly that was on special, it was one of the best cooked pork belly's I have had in a long time. It just fell apart and melted in my mouth. The crackling was perfect, nice and Crunchy. My partner had a chicken snitzel, double side of chips. Usually when we go somewhere they take the salad away and don't give extra chips, but he was so happy with his meal also. The staff were super friendly. The wait time was about 25 mins, which isn't bad for the quality of food being served. This isn't just "pub" food. Thank you and we will definitely be back!
