Great hotel! Wonderful service, great atmosphere, reasonably priced. The food is amazing and well presented. Will definitely be coming back!

Such a nice, comfortable place to catch up with friends for lunch and drinks. Staff are friendly and helpful, and its relatively quiet, so allows easy conversation. Food was amazing, new share platter and chips an instant hit with enough for 3 of us. Will not need dinner tonight! Always a go to place in the south, does not disappoint!

Great hotel for dinner, great service and great food. Easy to find and plenty of parking. The only disappointing part is the lack of female toilets - only two cubicles. Under normal conditions this is probably ample, but if there is a band on stage playing in the front bar and the hotel is packed with people there simply isn't enough toilets for the women. Lots of complaints from the women.

Went on mother's day. The food and drink were on the pricier side but not outrageous by any means. The kids meals are amazing value for money. Based on what I ate and others told me about their food it was around a 7/10. Good but nothing too memorable.

We were there for a birthday dinner would never visit the place again. The wait time for meals is a joke 2 1/2 hours and meals come at all different times. Staff were let know about bring out the cupcakes for a birthday that some how took over and hour to bring out because they wanted tables cleared staff seem to be only able to do 1 plate at a time.

We go every Monday night for a meal and quiz night. Staff are all Lovely, Ebony always goes out of her way to chat to my 11 year old daughter. Which I think is great,as a lot of places ignore children.

Have only been to the Emu for lunch which was lovely, decided to go for dinner tonight! We must say the staff are brilliant ( 2 young guys served us ) we ordered our food mine was the ribs which came with wedges & coleslaw plus a little bowl of water & lemon which was fabulous for those sticky fingers, ribs were delish and my husband had lambs fry & bacon which he said was the best he has ever had. Seeing I had a little room for desert I ordered the citrus tart which was a very generous serve with cream & strawberries. We now have our favourite place would highly recommend!

Awesome place, well run! All the staff were helpful and it seemed like whoever was in charge had thought of everything. For a small local place it was spacious and ticked all the boxes for me and my small family. Will

Love the front bar, so old school, few legends working in there, interacting with the locals. Lou is always so on the ball, new manager Bianca has been a breath of fresh air, bringing such easy going attitude. Food has improved 10 fold.

Was a lovely place to dine.
Food average, but good.
However, was appauled to see how one lovely lady behind bar also taking orders ,taking meals to the bar, cleaning off tables, taking meals to dining, clearing them, taking drink orders all by herself.
What a star . She needs a pay rise.
It was horrible to see one lady doind everything .
Its disgusting to me that a business would do such a thing.
I have come from major hospitality and you donot overwork one employee that way.
2 people should be ona shift together.
Oh, it really got me bad when this lovely lady was getting my drink and duty manager came to tell her food was wairing
Omg.. are his hands painted on? He did nothing all night while we were there but roam around.
Perhaps the real bosses hete.. Woolies should look more after their staff.

Overall a good experience. Food was all tasty and staff were friendly. Few comments: Went with a vegetarian and there wasn't many vegetarian options and very large open space meant there was a bit of a weird vibe. Enjoyed the meals we had though, would go again.

Meals last night were disappointing. This was our 3rd visit. The first time we ate there about 2 months ago the meal's were nice, but the last 2 times have been average. The Ribs were fatty and chewy steak over cooked and vegies stone cold. Will not be eating there again.

Our family gathered here for lunch to commemorate our pioneering ancestors to the region in the early part of 1800's.
The meals were substantial, more than most older people would eat.
My only comment, was the standard roast of the day was the last meals to arrive at a table of 18.
There were no complaints about the service, quality and quantity, and many made room for dessert ?

Disappointing visit for my first time at the Emu pub. I ordered a Chicken Schnitzel with Gravy. When I received my meal I took a bite of which tasted unusual and bad, so I checked the middle to see if it was cooked through. It was still very pink so I asked a lady there if could get re- cooked. The lady told me no it was cooked and that it was supposed to be that colour (according to the chef). Not much of an apology or understanding for my matter. My friends with me also had similar meals with chicken and I can ensure theirs looked actually cooked. I didn't eat my food didn't get any refund or replacement, as apparently it was editable. For some reason this review didn't let me upload the picture but I made sure to take a photo of my meal. First and Last time at the emu hotel. ??'??

On Monday, it wasn't the freshest food. As a customer I arrived at 5.15 and inconvenienced the staff by wanting to order, this was unfortunate, as it was a special occasion for us. I'm sure at the weekend when it's busy it would be better

Dining experience very pleasant and staff very helpful and attentive. Meal was very enjoyable.

Steak night Thursdays. Unfortunately with Covid rules in place no more salad bar. It is still cheaply priced for steaks even without the steak night specials. Good and quite and plenty of car park. Friendly staff.

Delicious medium rate steak with mushroom gravy, chips and salad.. $19.90.. what a tasty well portioned meal... come back anytime for food like this

Not bad for pub food. Was worth it because we had a voucher. Staff were friendly. Plenty of space. Ample parking

Family dinner on a Saturday night. The bistro was quiet so staff were not busy. The meals were average and my kids commented my cooking is better. Im leaving a review because we were made to feel rushed from the moment we arrived. The staff were nice and polite but overly keen to clean up the tables. We were given bowls of bread rolls and butter and the bowls were removed before some of our kids had even had a chance to grab butter. We were made to feel rushed and that we had to leave, not good for business on a Saturday night. By the time we left, the bar was shut and the doors locked. I bet the customers in the pokie lounge are made to feel much more welcome than we were. We would have stayed for more drinks but weren't really given the opportunity to.

Great place for lunch . Meals really good size and able to speak with no echo. Do not know about night time meals how busy it is then. Good service.

Good variety of food and staff are happy to accommodate meals when available.

food nothing special, over cooked prawns, under cooked squid.nsenior offered 20% discount for main meal deal, was not offered and we didn't see the notification till after ordering. wrote to hotel with no response.

the bistro was disappointing. same price as just about every other bistro in the city, but the food was bland and had nothing special about it. dismal salad bar and unenthusiastic staff.

Admitally we did arrive at 1.30pm, for Saturday lunch, I but we felt we were rushed through our lunch, with the salad bar being taken away prior to the 2.00pm lunch closure time and didn't feel very welcomed.. My wife requested that her Salmon meal be cooked a little longer, which was done a little reluctantly.. The last time we visited the Emu was about 12 years prior and left with the same feeling then too..we will try again in another 12 years (maybe)..

We went for $10 schnitzel night on Thursdays. We were there pretty early but it got busy quick so I'd recommend making a booking. The size of the schnitzel was pretty good. $2 extra for gravy and other sauces. Salad bar wasn't too exciting but still nice to have some options. They also have a small children's area with a ride on car and luck game (pay for) and some drawings activities.
