Falls Creek Hotel, Falls Creek VIC

This hotel has a great location on the mountain, about 100m from the main chairlift which is perfect.

The hotel has a great layout, as long as you don't mind stairs. The restaurant is cosy and the adjoining lounge for hotel guests only is excellent with a fireplace and lots of comfortable seating.

Rooms are great with comfy beds. The only downside is a low amount of powerpoints (only 2 in a room that sleeps 4), but not a massive issue.

The restaurant is very busy at lunch, and not as much at dinner but at either time they do great food.

The only thing that could have been better was staff interaction. It was hard to even score a 'Hello' at times, including when it was not busy at all but even then it was pretty forced. The staff are undoubtedly busy but do great work. Smile!

We had such a great ski holiday in Falls Creek! Falls Creek Hotel was a great stay: location, service, food, facilities and super friendly and helpful staff.

I went here for the food. Best food at the resort due to majority of the other food being low quality or over cooked at the resort but this one is the best ever at a Australian Ski Resort from my experience. If your going skiing and you need to eat ski down to the bottom summit chair or eagle express and have some wonderful food.

Beautiful food, amazing views & the staff are all lovely! We will definitely stay here again.

Can't recommend this hotel enough. We stayed here for 5 nights and went for the breakfast and evening meal included option.

The food was the highlight of our stay. The cooked breakfasts were great and had a good selection. The evening meals were delicious and there was fantastic variety. After a day of skiing, I decent cooked meal was exactly what we wanted.

With the evening meal, you can select a 3 course meal. The portions were huge and we rarely had enough space for pudding.

The hotel has a steam room, pool and hot tub which were all excellent. A drying room and laundry facilities were also helpful.

There is a ski hire shop at the entrance and a locker is included with your room. There is a guest lounge area away from the bar/restaurant area which was a great place to relax and read a book.

The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the start of the slopes. We had to walk across a road when we were there, but that's because it hadn't really snowed.

There is a happy hour here on Tuesday and Thursday 3:30 to 5:30 where you can get a large cocktail jug for $40. It does get a bit rowdy in the bar and balcony during this time but you can escape the the guest lounge if it gets a bit loud.

Would definitely return!
