Carrathool Family Hotel, Carrathool NSW

We stopped in Carrathool. When I heard of the Family Inn Hotel, I expected a well loved, built in the 30s, but In decline pub.
Was very surprised to see how stunning the pub looked, later realising it was built in 2011. The only problem is when we visited it was closed. So the beer may be hot or cold, The food may be good or bad. I can't pass a comment on that, but it looks fantastic!
Best wishes to the town and for those who invested in the pub. Will get my dates right and opening times and come back later. Cheers

I loved this place for lunch. Worth the 5 min drive off the highway to take a load off and 'stop revive and survive'.

Awesome food, and environment

A couple of weeks ago my wife and I and our 3 young boys were on our way back from our holidays up north.

We rang ahead when we were 30 minutes away to place our order. This was no problem at all.

When we arrived the boys chips and nuggets were soon on the table and very well cooked.

Shortly after my wife's feathers and fin (chicken schnitzel with creamy prawns on top) arrived. Beautifully cooked and the chicken was so tender. It was a proper chicken breast not those ones out of a box. 5/5!

My Porterhouse with mushroom gravy arrived at the same time as my wife's meal. It was the most tender and perfectly cooked steak I think I've ever eaten! 5/5!

I'm a bit sad now though because I can't see any other steaks I order when out in the future being as good as the one I ate here.

The only criticism of the place is it was a little nippy inside but other then that, a great establishment.

Really good outback country pub. Meals are really good, large. Hospitality is exceptional. Huge parking area for caravans and large vehicle over road. Public toilets outside.
