Great atmosphere style meets local pub vibe staff amazing friendly and professional. Food well priced lots of it and excellent quality. Waitress extremely helpful a pleasure to enjoy our meal at The Farmers Arms. Always book to avoid disappointment

Beautiful decor, waiting staff were fantastic. Focaccia was delicious and a very generous serving size. Pork belly and mash was really good, pork tender and crunch crackling. Filet mignon tender and tasty. Burnt basque cheesecake so nice. Great atmosphere. Prices a little higher than a pub but def worth it.

Nice inviting atmosphere with quality decor which gave a good impression, however the meal was quite average in that the fish and chips wss stock standard pub grub for the price and the pasta was under cooked. Front of house wasn't very welcoming. Wouldn't return again, plenty of others to choose.

First time visiting here, we made a last minute booking on Anzac holiday. Which online said no availability but we were able to submit a request. We were contacted and offered an availability.
Was very busy but we were well looked after at the front bar until our table was available.
Food was absolutely delicious and came out in great timing. Great atmosphere and attentive wait staff.
Highly recommended

Can't rate this place highly enough. Booked a table before we left Melbourne; just as well cos the place was busy. We both had the pork belly; best had for a long time. Food was awesome & served in a short time from ordering. Good selection of drinks, great staff. Son dropped us off & we to call him when we finished. Our cell phones were out of rang so bar staff called son for us- can't get better than that!!!
Had Sunday lunch at this lovely pub. The main bar is a gorgeous mix of traditional pub brought into the 21st century, filled with light and warmth. The food was delicious and so nice to have a pub meal that stretched beyond the realms of the dull schnitzel and parmi most pubs lazily resort to. Good to also know the food is sourced locally and sustainably. We were lucky to wait a while and eat at the bar for lunch but suggest you book- particularly at the weekend. The bar area is very pleasant to eat - actually a little less frenetic than the dining room. Very much recommend this establishment if you are visiting Daylesford- for food or even just to stop by for a drink

A genuine 10/10 dining experience. Food and drinks were all exceptional, the venue was stunning and the staff were so friendly, warm and attentive. Will definitely be recommending to my friends and family :~))

Very friendly service. The pork belly tasted good but was a little hard to negotiate - very tough crackling. The oysters weren't fresh and could have come with a nice dressing rather than just a slice of lemon. Still, a good option for Daylesford overall.

Nice cosy spot for lunch or dinner. Service was a little lade back. But I think that's the vibe they are aiming for.
The food was good, but I wouldn't rave about it. It's worth a try.

This was our first visit to Farmers Arms Hotel and we will definitely be back. The pork belly was succulent with crispy skin, and a good portion size. The venison pot pie was a great winter-warming meal, with excellent pasty. There was a great selection of drinks and the service was excellent.

The Farmer's Arms is quite rightly a Victorian institution and a must visit destination for all pub-loving visitors to Daylesford. it comes into its own in the colder months and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The wood paneling and other vintage interiors evoke a lovely nostalgia. The service is exceptional and the food and drinks menu high quality. I've visited a couple of times on trips to the area and always had a great night. Even when things don't go to plan, there is a no quibble attitude from staff who will quickly and painlessly solve any problems.
Very good food and great atmosphere for family friendly. We came here for dinner on a Friday night as part of our family trip and loved it, they out family's in a certain section so that the vibe is consistent for everyone while people who want to have a drink have a separate area.

Staff were very genuine and down to earth and food was amazing, great flavours and great portions. A very worthy hearty meal. Steak was great, slow cooked beef was tender and veggies were cooked well, super flavoursome.

As a family, we often visit Daylesford, a place known for its distinctive dining experiences. On our last trip, we decided to have dinner at the Farmers Arms Hotel Daylesford, but regretfully, our experience was a letdown.

We ordered some of the signature dishes, such as the pricey ribeye steak, but the flavor and ingredients were mediocre at best. Given the premium pricing, we expected a higher standard of quality.

The portion sizes left something to be desired. As a matter of fact, due to the small servings, I had to order an extra side of roasted potatoes just to feel satiated.

The kids' meal, a staple of fish and chips, also failed to impress. Our little one didn't seem to enjoy it much.

While this may just be our perspective, and others might have a different experience. Perhaps some improvement in both the quality of the food and the portion sizes would significantly enhance the dining experience.

I enjoyed a yummy salmon dish, a nice wine and a desert here last Sunday evening. Met some interesting people at the bar (had two conversations) got looked after by all the team especially Alan the very friendly barman with great hospitality skills. Love the decor and the building itself. I'll be back after packing up my Station Market stall that I attend fortnightly.
Well done and thanks!

Found this amazing place on Google whilst spending the day in Daylesford. As you do with most pubs, you expect a pretty average meal experience, with the typical dishes on the menu and nothing really to rave about... this pub is not that! The restaurant was already booked out when we arrived, so we took a table in the main bar area, had a lovely glass of Malbec and waited for the kitchen to open. We were then kindly seated in the dining room as a booking wasn't coming in until 7.30pm. I ordered the pork belly and my friend has the seafood pasta. Both dishes were outstanding - cooked to perfection! The dessert was very different and delicious as well. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.

We were extremely impressed with the service here. While the meal was very good, it was the service (in particular our male server) which was the highlight of our experience! The price is on the higher end but was worth the overall atmosphere and attention to detail.

Staff were all amazing and the venue is so lovely, the courtyard outside is also great for dining or a few drinks. There's even beanbags.
Unfortunately it's let down by the food and the prices. I got the pot pie of the day which was $33 and it wasn't nice, quite bland and watery at the bottom.
My partner got fish and chips. The fish was very dry and it came with hardly any chips at all. For the money you pay you'd expect a lot better.
Would visit again for the courtyard and lovely staff but probably wouldn't eat here again.

We came to Farmer's arms randomly since we are staying in Daylesford for the weekend. We are awestruck by the Quality of the food and service at this place. Chef Darren has created some thing unique with his menu bringing Modern fusion to Farmer's arms at Daylesford. The menu is small but I can guarantee your taste buds will be satiated with every bite. The service is top-notch. If you are in Daylesford don't miss the opportunity to experience the food at this place.

Great food and beers. Very nice vibes. The pork belly was super, the pie of the day just as good. The vegans are well looked after too, there was a baked cauliflower and a mushroom pasta, both delicious. Our food allergies were well looked after as well by the great staff. Highly recommended.

Amazing food and friendly staff.

Ordered the fish and chips and duck breast for dinner. Ate in the outdoor seating, which was lovely that time off the evening. Duck had a beautiful crispy skin, the carrot puree was silky smooth and the blackberry sauce was phenomenal. Fish and chips were also cooked and seasoned like perfection.

Thank you to the friendly and helpful staff for accommodation dietary requirements too. Highly recommend!

I've been wanting to come here for a while, but the day didn't meet my expectations for several reasons.

Some observations:
- Staff were friendly and mostly attentive. Ordering and service was timely.
- The mains were all quite expensive and of very different portion sizes, ie Rock Ling was tiny, Beef Brisket was huge. This works for sharing plates but that wasn't the intention of the menu.
- House-made bread was unfortunately stale.
- Butter knives were cleared after entrees but not replaced for mains.
- The environment was uncomfortable. There was a large grease splatter across the wall above our table, and the banquette seating was uncomfortably tight.
- No coffee was available.
- Large and supposedly "standard" surcharge on top of already significant food prices would have been stomached better if it wasn't printed on the menu in size 6 font :(

Really great place! Food is delicious and all staff are very friendly. We have been here both times we have come to Daylesford and we mentioned one of the desserts that we loved when we booked and the head chef was so kind and gave us the recipe and a dessert on the house! We were so appreciative and thoroughly enjoyed our delicious meal. We will be back! :)

We had a very good experience here for lunch yesterday.
We didn't have a booking, so happily sat in the bar area for lunch.
The meals were gorgeous.
My papardelle tasted great and was the perfect portion size.
My partner's steak looked and tasted amazing. He considered getting a second plate of it!
It was a touch pricey with the weekend surcharge, but well worth the good food.

Great food - pork belly was to die for. Beer & wine excellent. Fudge & Coffee was the best.
Ambiance was terrific. Was packed and hopping.
Waitress from Croatia, was so ever attentive - nothing was too much trouble, only sorry I could not remember her name.
Booking guy was very helpful too. ?????'??

Really enjoyed the extremely friendly service. Our meals were prompt and very enjoyable. Atmosphere was great, we were seated in the cosy booth in the back so our family of 5 could relax and chat easily. Food was lovely and I enjoyed the local tap beer. Kids were well catered for and everyone left happy after a lovely dinner.

My partner and I had both vegan dishes, both meals were just delicious. I absolutely loved the Japanese Pumpkin. Wow, Wow, Wow. These flavours!! Devine.
Totally understated as pub meal.

Just the Sunday surcharge of $13 took as bit by surprise.

Other then that, we highly recommend this venue.

Had the seafood pasta and beef brisket for lunch. When asked for feedback, I said the pasta was great but the brisket was dry.

Was pleasantly surprised when it came time to pay the bill as I was charged for all other food and drink except the (dry) brisket!

That's how great customer service should be. Would come back for the pasta and local beers when next in in the area.

Live jazz music in the beer garden throughout summer and up to end of April, with the Vida Jazz trio. A bustling country pub on the edge of Daylsford before you hit the deep hinterlands. Always popular but never abrasive. Warmth and hospitality is the keynote here. Families welcome and in the beer garden you're sure to find some cute puppies with their families too.

A great pub! Good selection of tap beers and excellent pub food. Staff are awesome and managed to squeeze us in without a booking. A nice warm local pub feel. The outdoor beer garden looks great for a sunny day.

Good hotel, but was rated best pub meal in the area, so I was a little let down. Meals where fine but my expectations where probably a little high.
Had the Fish and chips and spaghetti marinara, both good meals and filling.
Great little beer garden out the back for drinks or meals.
