Federal Hotel & Motel, Berrigan NSW

The service from the bar sensational, friendly and couldn't fault it. I don't normally complain but we took a family member down for a nice meal as was so disappointed. My review is for the food and kitchen staff. Kitchen staff not really friendly. Burger bun was burnt and stale chicken over cooked along with the chips. The two other meals had just as much lack of care. Chicken on the salad over cooked and looked reheated. Parma over done and ham was shredded and not nice. The clear lack of care was overwhelming. Not to mention the garlic cheese bread was warm price of bread with cheese and garlic on it.

Absolute trash service, meal wasn't correct , when rectified by staff still wasn't correct wouldnt recommend. Will just get a servo pie next time at least I'll know what I'm paying for.

Bar staff were fantastic but the woman (I'm being nice!) who was cooking.....well, first of all she can't cook! We wanted to order the eye fillet without the prawns (I have allergies to shell fish) and she refused to cook it because apparently she cooks the prawns on the same grill as the steak (odd seeing as it was a creamy garli prawnstopper!). Simple solution though, cook the steak in a frypan. To that the cook told us "no, I "can't" cook a steak in a frypan!" Really????
Then while we were eating, she came out from the kitchen wearing a very skimpy singlet top and way to short shorts. Not a professional look at all!!! Almost turned us off our food!
But again I will say....the Bar staff were awesome 😀 😀

Ripper old country pub , excellent cold beer & a chilled glass 😀😀. Good meals & service.

We found out the hotel would not normally be open on a Monday, and we'd walked in for a late lunch on the Queens/ Kings birthday weekend. It was a day trip of exploring. The lady behind the bar was friendly and accommodating, and we were grateful for lunch despite walking in late. Their sticky date pudding was delicious.
