I took a bus load of seniors to the FTG Hotel for the buffet lunch on a Tuesday. The food was plentiful and delicious. A good range, including seafood. The food was hot and fresh and replenished regularly. The staff cleared the empty plates from our table in a timely manner. Overall quite a good experience for a hotel buffet.

Unfortunately I was ill after eating at the feast. I try to avoid going the feast hotels in general as something in the food does not sit well with me (not an issue with the food, just and issue with at least one ingredient that is commonly used but unsure what it is). As for the food it was not up to the standard I have seen previously at great locations, the pork was heavily salted and dry and the beef tasted like it was boiled rather than roasted. Much of the dishes look as if they were leftover from a previous session with many looking sad and dry. On the positive side the waiting staff were helpful, clearing dishes quickly with minimum fuss and a smile.

We went there Saturday night for dinner ask to be seated near play area so we can supervise our kids everyone in that area was watching their kids very well behaved in that area but then there was a family that were seated other end of restaurant no clue what there kids behaviour was like after been knock in the back several times they were ask to stop they just keep running between table with no thought for anyone but didn't then a little 2 year old girl nearly had her teeth knock out because of this behaviour families need to keep an eye on there kids.DONT JUST SIT AT OTHER END OF RESTAURANT AND THEN COMPLAIN IF PEOPLE HAVE HAD ENOUGH of theirs kids behaviour. To the owner of ftg hotel this was reported to staff at the time and it's not the first time that this has happened maybe tell parents that kids need to be supervised at all times it's not hard to do the kids near play room were supervised and there was no problem your staff saw the other kids running around when they cleared tables and said nothing

How can you claim to be a buffet when their is no food. What a total rip off. We arrived at 6.00pm and dishes were already empty. We stayed for approximately 2 hours and waited most of the time for the food to be replenished and some dishes never did. The soft drink machine didn't work, the vanilla ice cream machine didn't work for most of the night. Save your money and go elsewhere.
