What a beautiful country pub with a unique art deco heritage and a warm, welcoming and sunny interior to match the excellently prepared local pub food. We stopped by on our way to stay at Wilson's Prom on a whim, pulled up our caravan easily in a parking area across the road, ordered the local gummy shark that was moist and beautifully battered with coleslaw and crispy chips, and treated ourselves to a Philip Island stout and local viognier, marsanne, reisling (white wine) blend that was delightfully on the drier side and an excellent match for the fish. Both drink selections were suggested by our charming host, who also had an excellent local wine list. It seems there's good times to be had here in front of the delightful fire with karaoke nights, community evenings, football cheer, and there are lovely pieces of art on the wall by local artists for sale and visitor enjoyment making it a lovely local pub - for us it was a perfect way to start our holiday! Thanks FC team :)
