Great place - great menu and drinks. We booked tables for 15 people for lunch and every thing was reserved and we were directed to our tables and drink and food menu's were presented. The only thing I would do next time is ask for joining tables ( ours we're all together but separated apart) Regsrds Grahame

A couple of years since I have been here, but have stayed here about 20 years ago. This visit was a bike ride with my daughter. A good beer, one schooner only. Lunch was excellent and service at the bar and ordering food was friendly and efficient. Great be able to park the bike at the front. An amazing transformation of this pub over the years and times I have previously been.

We have been to the George many times and not left any review.
Celebrating a farewell luncheon we were not disappointed. The food was great especially the Lamb pie which gives another venues 'Guinness pie' a run for its money. The staff were friendly and even brought our drinks to the table when tapping a new keg was required. Never had a dud experience and will continue to frequent this establishment.

Very nice pub. Plenty of area's to socialise in. My wife and I had a very nice Sunday lunch out on the deck. The weather was cool, but plenty of outdoor heating was provided.
We had the chicken skewers and chef's special chicken breast which were both delicious. Plenty of beers to choose from also. Highly recommend and we'll definitely make a return visit.

Stopped for dinner with my wife. Food was good quality but got side order wrong. They did offer to remake it but we didn't want to wait as mains had come out. The lady that took our order was very pushy, asking multiple times if we were ready to order even when no other customers were waiting.

I enjoyed the fish tacos and the rest of our group enjoyed the pizza. Love the outdoor deck, especially the timber framing around the bar. Great place to meet, however the parking at the rear is a problem. Other than that really great place to meet

Wonderful night here recently for a family birthday. The food and live music were excellent! The staff were outrageously busy but still happy and attentive if understaffed. Thank you!

Atmosphere was great and the locals were friendly as well. Most of the bar staff were helpful and happy except one barman who worked in the craft Bar. The food was tasty and nice and even though the food didn't take too long to cook it did take a long wait to actually order - 45 minute wait in the line with one person taking orders? I think they need to get a new system so more than one person could take orders... but other than that it was great especially happy hour last friday night!!!!

Not much of a hotel, more of just a pub. Food is decent, venue really shows its heritage. Could do with a renovation of some kind but the heritage feel would go. Not a whole lot for kids other then a jumping castle, which is located way at the back. So unless your sitting out the back, it's impossible to keep an eye on your kids from the table.

We spent a lovely afternoon enjoying our lunch and drinks despite our booking having not been acknowledged and no table was ready for our time slot. After the staff re-arranged table settings, we were able to sit down and enjoy a very lovely afternoon at your venue. Live music was really enjoyable too.

I love this pub.
They don't sell take away home brew in boxes that say "treat like milk" on them anymore, but it's still good. Food is good, service is fantastic etc. the best bit is the loud music on weekends.
I live in town and I like using loud tools in my workshop. When this place is pumping , nobody seems to mind when I use my grinding machines and equipment at night.
And I don't need the radio on to listen to music.
Win Win.

Friendly staff, good food and a good range of beers on tap. My wife, daughter, son in law and I enjoyed the seafood platter and chicken wings. Prices were quite reasonable and servings a good size.

This is a pub with a history, I don't know how old it is. Craft beers on tap. There is a reasonable menu with lunch time specials at $15. There is outdoor seating which is great in the summer. They have an open fireplace inside for the winter months. They have a a micro brewery but I'm not sure if it's used now. It is popular with bike riders out for a run on Sundays.

A group of us have done lunch here on a number of occasions during the week. The atmosphere is very relaxed with separate indoor dining rooms along with ample exterior seating.
Our food has always been delicious with adequate portions.
A great place to catch up. Take a very pleasant drive out to Picton. Its worth it.

Meet my mother at Picton as she came from Camden and I was from Orange. I had not seen my mother for 12 months. The booking of the table was easy on line and the food was delicious as we had king prawn linguine. We spend 2 hours enjoying the food and the drinks. We both left with linguine dribbled down the front of us!

Been going to this pub since 1985. Haven't been here for around 10 odd years since the old owner Geoff died. It's changed a lot, they have expanded the northern side with a sports bar, kitchen & dining, lots of seating & kids play area and a new bar out back. With some really good craft beers. This is a great pub. Highly recommend everyone to come for meal & a beer or 2.

Beautiful quaint old pub. Rooms are very basic but spotless. Common bathroom. It would be great if the owners put more than one small hook on the back of shower cubicle doors! Awesome food! Great atmosphere. We'd stay again for sure.

Great atmosphere pub in the quaint Picton Village. Our group of 17 was easily accommodated on the deck, and kept warm with ample outdoor heating. The cocktails were perfection ... both the Espresso Martini and the Ivy! Yum. Plenty of food options for all (including great kids meals). I had the steak with mash and veggies... delicious. Would def go again.

This charming place is rewarding to visit. There's plenty of space, plenty of food, and plenty of beer. The holy Trinity.
The variety is perfect, with a traditional bar space, a bistro and a beer garden, all with plenty of room to brood on your own, or chill with mates.
I tried the staple parmagiana (a hallmark of any proper pub) and was chuffed with both the flavour and the portion size.

The staff were professional and relaxed, making their tasks look easy. It is easy to relax here. There's an old style charm here, and your can tell there's been a lot of love put into setting this establishment up.

After a couple of beers and some important debates with my mate about what's wrong with the world, I was pleased to wrap it up, properly fed and watered.
Will happily return.

Extremely impressed with this historical establishment. With many different areas to enjoy a beverage and a meal. We sat out the front and watched the world of Picton go by. Upon entering the Inn to use the facilities the age of the Inn was evident and had such an amazing vibe. The meal was delicious and service was fantastic. Will definitely be returning for a another visit.

Booking on the website - great. Getting confirmation etc - great too. Informing venue I was running late - call answered quite quickly. When arrived at destination, requested seat change - it was promptly changed. Food was nice but the bar didn't have any Cognac or Brandy.

Thanks George IV, we had a very lovely experience with you. Although we opted for simple salads and protein, we all enjoyed our meals. Wait time for our meals was acceptable. Thank you all Staff for our enjoyable family get together. We will be back. Well of course we will.
