Had a previous amazing stay years ago as the Gibraltar hotel. Stayed recently and had multiple issues. There was stagnant water in the bathroom and around 20 bugs living on the roof when we checked in. We mentioned this but housekeeping made no attempt to deal with them. When mentioned again on checkout they said they would have the manager address it, who then emailed to insinuate that because we left the door to the balcony open for 10 minutes (to air out the smell in the room) the bugs were there as a result of our actions.

The Rooms are great with amazing views and the staff are wonderful however I think the property is definitely a no go zone for families travelling with kids !!! As much as I want to give this property a 4 star rating I can't especially travelling with a baby ! The property does not have room service and you are forced to carry food from the restraunt and bring it back to your room also the property does not assist you with a baby chair and you have to keep going back to the reception desk to heat your babies food which just gets annoying so definately should avoid this property if travelling with kids !!!!

Stayed for three days two nights with my partner as we had a wedding to attend locally. Absolutely lovely experience! Staff were welcoming, polite and attentive! This includes the cleaning crew and reception. Room was spectacular, super comfy bed and the facilities were extremely clean. Loved the luxurious bathroom. That left us very relaxed. We're hoping to come here again to enjoy a stay that isn't as rushed (because of the wedding).
Thank you for the lovely stay!

The accommodation was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. When we walked in there was a strong scent from an A/C diffuser. I saw the manager who told me it was sandlewood, which is a good idea, but I had an asthma reaction. I'm glad to say the smell was mainly in the reception area, not in the rooms or restaurant area. So I walked outside the building to get to the restaurant and bar area. The food and service was good, and the jazz musicians were excellent.

We stayed here for my birthday in June 2023. Very spacious rooms, and a lovely property. Loved it
We had dinner here in June 2020 - two people. Staff were helpful, friendly and on the ball. Surroundings were pleasant, with a low level of noise, so the conversation was easy. Menu was fixed price at $60 for an entree and main, with dessert able to be purchased if wanted. Food was good (recommend the fish parcel). Recommended.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in late May 2023, having also stayed a few times before.

The place is neat and clean, and now showing a bit of wear and tear.

Our room had a nice outlook across the golf course, although the in room heating struggled with the cold, taking from check in to the next morning to bring the room up to a pleasant temperature. A neat and helpful feature is the availability of power outlets at the side of the bedhead, meaning you will not need to scramble underneath a bedside table to find power to charge a phone, etc.

Location is only five minutes drive from the centre of town. The trip into town is not really walkable, especially in the dark (due to limited footpaths and street lighting).

Parking is easy to use, and out in the open, which is usual for Bowral.

The bed itself was clean, and mostly the bathroom was. However, the table in the room was dirty and there was an empty can of coke on rolling around on the balcony. The bathroom has mould on the drain and a thick covering of dust behind the door. I don't think a lot of care is taken to properly clean the rooms. It did make me question how clean everything else was. Breakfast was okay, but coffee was terrible (out of a machine and lukewarm). If you are thinking of paying for breakfast, go into one of the many cafes in Bowral. Room is expensive for what you actually get.

We absolutely loved this fabulous Hotel. This gorgeous modern property is nestled in a picturesque peaceful setting. Backing onto a wonderful Golf Coarse. The minute we arrived I knew we had chosen well. Plenty of free accessible parking & the feel of tranquility all around. We were welcomed by the lovely Annie. She was professional & down to earth. Very informative & made sure we were looked after. She is an absolute credit to this wonderful place. The rooms were huge & boosted the most stunning decor. Comfy beds & great amenities . We loved the fact that the restaurant & Heated Pool were all inside the Hotel. This helped when we visited being a cooler time of year. We got to enjoy drinks by the fire in the restaurant bar area before moving to our table. Not only were the Lamb Shanks & Risotto delicious. The night was topped off by the wonderful, attentive service from our waiter Khush. He was so informative & just delightful. Again another great credit to this hotel. Made sure we were well taken care of.

This beautiful hotel really ticked all the boxes for us & will definitely be on the top of our list for many of our getaways. We are even considering looking into having my daughter's wedding held there in the future.

We stayed at this boutique hotel back in June 2022 for a night. It was a nice stay, the room is very roomy, the shower was hot and the water flow was great, it was needed in those deep winter days. But if book here, you better book the dinner as well, as it was booked out when we were there, so we had to go out to town for a dinner. I did a vlog for this stay, you can check it out at my YouTube channel - Alan Law Sydney.

We came for our third stay at the Gibraltar to celebrate my daughter's 18 th Birthday. Previous stays had been excellent, so I was expecting the same standards, hence booking for this special occasion. We were bitterly dissatisfied with most aspects of the stay, from the days prior to arrival where I communicated several times with the hotel, reaching out to see if they could help me make the stay special for my daughter, down to the final check out that was handled with little enthusiasm or care.
My requests were met with, no, we can't do that, the service was non existent, the room had faults ( leaking fridge, leaking toilet, and mould in shower drain) , and there was no room service, no mini bar, no robes, no movie channel , no pool towels at the pool ( you have to go to reception to get them), the list goes on. No little luxuries or anything to make you feel welcomed and special.
The attention to detail and care for the guests is non existent, with confusion regarding so many aspects of the administration and food management. The staff were non enthused, barely cracked a smile and seem very inexperienced. Overall, a very overpriced waste, considering the complete absence of service. You'd be much better off in a self contained house where at least you have cooking facilities etc. Do not waste your time and money.

No mini bar (a few biscuits)
No tea bag range (only English Breakfast)
No suitcase rack
No wifi instructions
No phone use instructions (advised removed due to covid.....think that one through...)
Bedside plugs well hidden and due to poor design not useable on one side for mobile phone chargers.
Light weight hair dryer (no cold blow option)
Standard bathroom toiletries (no makeup remover....saves towels)
Shampoo/conditioner/moisturiser bottles tiny and difficult to squeeze contents out.
Light under vanity on permanently....(an inconvenient convenience feature even with bathroom door closed)
Beautiful hotel with lovely grounds
Good parking and food.
Lovely views. Clean. Helpful staff

We had a lovely short break to Bowral and stayed at the Gibraltar Hotel and stayed in a family room that faced the car park. The bathroom was nicely renovated, with a large free-standing bathtub.

The facility has many multi use spaces that would be great for a function or wedding.

Having its 12 metre pool inside is great for the Bowral climate, which can get a bit nippy during the cooler months. There is a separate cold water pool alongside, which may be useful for a hot summer's day.

The gym is located next to the pool and has some basic equipment.

The golf course wasn't in use when we were there, due to the recent heavy rains. Once that is back in operation, the suite of facilities will be better.

Fantastic getaway hotel! From the moment you walk in, the place screams comfort and zen. Facilities include gym and indoor pool. WiFi available with fast connection. Absolutely no issues. Bed is amazing as well which is probably the most important. Let the reception know whether you'll be having dinner before 2pm. Highly recommended if you're visiting Bowral!

Beautiful modern high standard hotel. The rooms are very spacious, both bedroom and bathroom. We had an accessible room for my elderly mother adjoining a family room for the 3 of us. The accessible room has a very large bathroom with high toilet, grab rails and the shower is walk in with fold down seat and hand held shower. The family room has 2 bedrooms, one with king bed and other has 2 king singles. There is a restaurant, gym and pool. Right on the golf course. A bit out of town so need a car to get to the lovely village of Bowral.

Don't waste your money staying here!
For a Baby Moon, it was extremely disappointing.
The air con barely worked, even on full ball & temperature set to 30 degrees, it failed to heat up the room.
The spa bath jets came out with mould & so I had to run another bath. Ran bath #2 & the plug didn't stay in properly needing the tap to stay on continuously to have a bath where the jets could be used.
When I booked, I had requested a late checkout for 11am. I called & confirmed this would be granted. However come Sunday, we had to checkout by 10am. This wouldn't have been an issue had we been told when we checked in. But we hadn't & then we had to rush eat breakfast, shower & pack all within 1hr.
The staff weren't friendly, not greeted professionally nor asked how our stay was when checking out. They seemed to not care about anything I had to say, as I was cut off & told "bye".

We would like to thank Rachel and the entire events team for helping us make our dream wedding run as smoothly as possible. We had a great time and so did our guests. Everyone loved the food, drinks and location.

Rachel was very friendly and approachable. She even came to check up on me during my preparation and gave me a hug to calm my nerves which I really appreciate. The GBH team did a fantastic job in looking after us! They even upgraded us to the Ambassador Suite to fully accommodate our requests. We strongly recommend Gibraltar Hotel to stay and to host your wedding location.

We are looking forward to spending our 1st Anniversary at Gibraltar Hotel :)

There's something grand yet chic about the design and architecture here. On the surface, the scenery and the setting gives the Hotel a great sense of occasion and grandeur. The high ceilings and large windows give the rooms great airy feelings when combined with the luscious green of the golf course. The restaurant/bar albeit small, both size and menu offerings, does the job with genuinely tasty food.

The part where things didn't work for me started right at the beginning. The first person who looked after us at the reception was quite grumpy, like my presence created annoyance, and any smile would costs extra to our room rate. The other staff was really tentative and sorted us out proactively as a group, but the damage was done already unfortunately.

The rooms could do with a deep clean. The carpet felt like they weren't vacuumed properly and there were still some small junks left behind by the last guest in the wardrobe. Nothing disgusting but certainly off-putting. The shower is nice but the water drainage could benefit from a deep clean.

While we were lucky to be at the end of the corridor, you have to walk pass many rooms to get around and to amenities, and I suspect people in those rooms would be annoyed by the noise of passerby.

I genuinely like the environment and vibe here, but the management and cleanliness can benefit from a refresh.

the bed is the best.... so comfortable
