Stayed with my husband last weekend and we were blown away by the amazing service we received. The staff went above and beyond to make our time special, friendly reception, the cleaners giving warm greetings, bar staff creating a special mocktail for me as I am pregnant. Room was immaculate with huge bed and gorgeous views of the golf course providing endless entertainment for golf lovers. The lotus restaurant served delicious food. Special mention to Sunil who went out of his way being so kind and accommodating when there was a small kitchen delay. It is so refreshing to be surrounded by incredible service. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Room was nice, staff were accommodating and apologetic but it's very obvious there is newly taken over money hungry owners/investors. Hotel staff said to many guest, if you cannot provide proof of your stay in email, you will need to pay again. Staying as part of wedding and wedding party were informed of a discount price for their guests. When asked at check in the staff said they do not offer that.

Every guest staying at the hotel paid very different prices. Some up to 5 times more than others.

$10 delivery fee for any room service order.
Outside tables for the bar/food had no lighting. No numbering or ticket numbers. For orders. So we asked 5+ times for updates of our food order

Be cautious when dealing with this hotel and avoid providing your credit card details unless absolutely necessary. Here is a summary of my experience:

The hotel charged a security holding deposit of $120 to my credit card, which I initially understood and accepted.

I had fully paid for the room at the time of booking, and during checkout, the reception confirmed that everything was settled.

However, three days after checkout, I discovered an unauthorized charge on my card. They charged me again in full on the day of my checkout.

Upon contacting the hotel, they assured me of a full refund, but I have yet to confirm its receipt. He said, his trainee made a mistake. I believe it is unlikely that a trainee would charge a customer's card without proper authorization from the customer and explicit instructions from the manager.

I am now worried they might make additional unauthorized charges in the future.

I would also recommend arranging your own breakfast, as the buffet provided was the worst I have ever experienced.

This was a very disappointing experience, and I recommend exercising caution if you choose to stay at this hotel.

We stayed for two nights in the Highland King room facing the golf course. I'll start with the positives: the room was clean, spacious, and offered a beautiful view. The bathtub was lovely, and the indoor heated pool was a great perk, especially since it was raining during our stay. The manager at the Harvey Bar provided excellent service, which we really appreciated.
The hotel amenities were nice, though we did encounter a couple of issues. Despite having booked for three people, we had to repeatedly ask for extra towels and bath gel both days, as only supplies for two were provided.
Unfortunately, the reception staff wasn't very welcoming during check-in or check-out. It was the first time I've stayed anywhere where the receptionist didn't ask if we enjoyed our stay or offer a simple, "hope you had a pleasant time."
The Lotus Restaurant was closed both days of our visit, and the only food option available was a limited menu at the bar. We tried the spring rolls and dumplings, which were delicious. However, we ordered two steaks at $38 each, but both came well-done instead of the medium-rare we requested. Considering the price, I was surprised by the overcooked steaks, but we were too tired to make a fuss and just ate them. On a positive note, the dessert was fantastic.
The buffet breakfast was quite limited, with some basic items unavailable unless we paid extra (such as baked beans, hash browns, or eggs other than scrambled). They also ran out of sausages, which was a disappointment when we asked for more.
The hotel advertises 24-hour reception, but this wasn't accurate. It was often difficult to reach anyone by phone.

Overall, it's a beautiful hotel in a lovely town, but the service and food didn't meet expectations, especially given the price point. With some improvements in these areas, I might consider returning.

The rooms were clean and spacious. However, the fixed glass shower partition was leaking water out towards the bathroom floor. Forcing us to use the small bath mats to shift the water back into the shower area. Furthermore, the bathroom door wouldn't close properly.

The golf course looked good online. However, upon closer inspection, whilst walking around, there were no bunkers and the greens didn't look up to scratch.

Stayed one nite as had a wedding nearby we had a lovely room very clean comfortable with a view over golf course. The only negative I have was the breakfast buffet style was pretty dismal considering the cost of the room. There was quite a few people in and food beverages were not topped up very well. The selection of foods could have been a lot better. We recently stayed at mecure Hunter Valley the breakfast buffet was amazing more choices constantly checked by staff attending to everyone and we're so friendly

It was a very pleasant experience from such a clean hotel. I have high hopes in this hotel but I have been seeing a mix of reviews. First of all, infos were not available in the IG account or even the website. But the thought of calling us prior to check-in was a plus. Place is gorgeous and the room was huge! The downsides I have seen was 1) the scent of the hotel was too strong I had an allergic reaction to it. I know it was just myself who had problems with it but I hope it would be subtle like any other hotels 2) breakfast was a let down. It was $25/person, not that much but I wished there would be hot meals included with the price. You can avail of the hot meals separately though. Overall, experience wasn't too bad. Should we come back? Probably.

We stayed for 2 nights and would definitely stay again. Clean and comfortable rooms - really liked the beds. We enjoyed using the indoor heated pool. I was happy with the breakfast but needed to be topped up more frequently during peak service.

This place deserves all five stars for everything. What a beautiful view from our room. Staff was friendly and room spacious, clean and comfortable. Lobby and reception look good too. Couldn't play golf because of weather but will definitely visit again. Thanks for an amazing stay 😊

Had a previous amazing stay years ago as the Gibraltar hotel. Stayed recently and had multiple issues. There was stagnant water in the bathroom and around 20 bugs living on the roof when we checked in. We mentioned this but housekeeping made no attempt to deal with them. When mentioned again on checkout they said they would have the manager address it, who then emailed to insinuate that because we left the door to the balcony open for 10 minutes (to air out the smell in the room) the bugs were there as a result of our actions.
