What a wonderful pub. The meal was very nice the staff very friendly. Evan saw a helicopter land across the road and the two passengers came in and had a drink none for the pilot. Caravan park next door. Beautiful drive up Aaron's pass road

The gold and fleece hotel is an incredible old pub with a great atmosphere. The young couple running the pub have created a welcoming, lively and refreshing environment for everyone.

The fortnightly Saturday night live music is definitely worth the trip out wherever you're coming from, lots of fun dancing with the locals and some very talented musicians on the roster.

The food is also incredible, you can get classic pub food, delicious pizzas and the kitchen also do amazing specials that make it feel like you're eating at a fancy restaurant!

Very impressed with my experience here and I will definitely be back! Could not recommend enough for anyone thinking of visiting ???

Food in the restaurant was good, however, the attitude of the young managers/publican was appalling, certainly a lot of growing up to do before they deal with patrons in a small community .. and we were not asked to leave. The abuse was served by the publicans girlfriend who followed us out onto the street after we decided we decided to leave because of the rude attitude from the publican. We are taking it further with the licensing police as it was observed quite a few inappropriate behaviours by both of them were apparent. Our first night there and will certainly be our last

Loved It!!, Loved It!!, Loved It!!!. The food was delicious and amazing. Service was excellent. Loved the feeling of the hotel. We have placed it on our calendar for next year.

We had a group of 35 pre-book for dinner - the food was amazing, the servings generous and the service was great. Couldn't have asked for anything better!

The restaurant here is comparable to the good little Italian restaurants in Glebe & Newtown in Sydney. A cut above your regular RSL/other clubs. Not to put down club meals, I've had many in the past & will have many more. Club meals aren't bad for what they are. Nevertheless, this pub's restaurant really does stand out for a pub in an obscure out of the way location. Reasonable prices to my thinking, but, hey, you get what you pay for.

What a treat we had.. Amazing food and hospitality. Thank you Chef and the lady at the counter (sorry I forgot your names).. everything was so fresh and yummy. Kids loved it.. we loved it.. ?????

I've been here a few times on my travels to search for gold. I know a few of the locals and they have been there the times I have visited. They are all lovely and generous with their knowledge. The food here has been great, no complaints there. An interesting pub with some historical stuff on the walls. Just a nice country pub, great for a stop over if your passing through. I haven't stayed overnight but I would if I go back.

Amazing, best pizza ever! Homemade pizza bases with local fresh produce. The chef specially made me a vegan pizza and hubby had a supreme, both were the best we've ever had. They allowed us to dine with our dog outside. The bar manager was also great and happy to make drinks not on the menu for a very affordable price. A must visit if you're in the area

Not frantically busy on Monday. Food very good and we were offered "doggy boxes", didn't have to ask.
Nice to meet up with some RFS colleagues for a yarn. My wine was just right. Plenty of parking.
