Gordon Hotel - Pub in Portland Victoria

Do not order the mix grill. They should call it the mini grill. Very Small steak. Very Small sausage very very small rissole small piece of chicken The biggest thing on the planet was the egg The chips were nice but $35 for chips
Very disappointing

Sunday night dinner, I ordered a mixed grill and not what I expected, rissole the size of a wall nut,piece of chicken couldn't have been dryer, piece of steak dry and horrible, Chipotle sausage only thing cooked correctly every thing else tasted precooked, I'm local and will be eating elsewhere next time.
Very disappointing.

Poor signage to help navigate new customers of the venues areas. Cleanliness of bathrooms was lacking. The manager on duty was eating dinner in the TAB/Main bar area whilst the few patrons they had were waiting for drinks. Bar staff dissuaded us from ordering food. Very limited draught beer selection. I could go on but I won't. Disappointing....

I would give the hotel a miss went there for dinner ordered 2 Thai salads one with prawns one with calamari the size of the servings were very very small . I got 4 small prawns my husband got 4 frozen calamari which cost us $59 the table beside us also ordered the same salad but it was twice the size of ours the other table were locals I would say don't waste your time eat somewhere else

We had a off-road buggy race near Portland and we wanted to go into Portland to have tea and support the local town
We saw the Gordan pub was open and it looked very nice along the esplanade
There was 4 of us and we walked in and were very kindly greeted . We were shown to our table and we ordered a few drinks while we decided what we wanted off the great pub menu . We all ordered and the meals were so quick to come out and the meals were absolutely delicious. Everything in the bistro was clean and tidy and had a great atmosphere. It was definitely a great experience and when in Portland , I'll be going back to the gordan pub again
