GV Hotel - Pub in Shepparton Victoria

Fantastic building, interior design and overall feel. Food portions will do the job and the quality of food is on point. I feel a little training wouldn't go astray for some of the younger staff in regards to customer service. On my third occasion eating here, I've found the staff not impolite or terrible but disinterested in their work. This is by no means a unworkable negative but it is the service ice industry and customers may need some feedback on questions about meals and drinks. Definitely worth stopping here for food and a drink and it has great Friday afters vibes too.

Highly recommend this pub. They fit us in on a busy Saturday night & our food was amazing. Wait time wasn't bad given how busy they were & it was good quality with reasonable portions for the cost

The food was delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly and the salad and fries were fresh! I highly recommend the seafood pasta, it goes very well with wine!

Last time we visited and ate at gv hotel few months ago was lovely. We attended the gv hotel this evening and was disappointed. We ordered scotch steak and a spaghetti seafood. I received a seafood basket which looked very dry with very brown overcooked chips. I took this to the counter to explain, the staff member that I received the incorrect meal and the staff member checked the computer for the order, which made me feel awkward, as it felt I had dinner something wrong. No comments was made about the mistake, but they sent my order through again. I was not refunded the difference in the meal cost. My partners steak, which he asked for med/rare, half of it was still running in the paddock and the other part was well gone, burnt chips with a lovely gritty salad on the side. Not well done a meal. Chef cooked, wouldn't think so with the quality.

I had the pleasure of dining at this fabulous hotel for lunch and I must say, the scotch fillet steak with garlic prawn sauce was absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with garlic prawn sauce chips and salad.
The hotel itself is located on a main road, the interior was clean and well-maintained. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal.
I highly recommend this hotel for a great lunch experience. The food was fabulous, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was good.
