I can only attest to the bar area as I didn't go in any further or use any other facilities.
I ordered a margarita and a choc milk type cocktail for $18 each which is pretty standard. It took the barmaid a full 10mins to make which I thought was really slow.
Perfect margarita though so 4 stars

Was one of my favourites. Service was brilliant and the food was good. However I was disappointed the last few times I visited. Used to be good but food and service has gone downhill. Short measured me on a glass of wine and wouldn't fix just argued about where they measure to which apparently isn't the mark on the wine glass. Off my list. Plenty of other better options.

Absolutely the dirtiest place i have ever seen. 2pm check in but rooms weren't ready at 5pm. Lucky we had a look at the room because we decided there was no way we could stay in this place. Would give no stars if possible.
The one staff member that actually worked there was lovely. Not her fault at all. The owners should be disgusted with themselves for charging people to stay here. AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH!!

Visited on New Years Day. Dismissive staff, from the bartenders to the chefs. Obviously not interested in working. No way that behaviour is getting a tip. Food was tasteless. I got the chicken parm and it came with about 8 fries. Not worth it for the price considering the chicken was very average too. Salad was dripping with dressing, absolutely gross. My VB was nice but it's just as good anywhere else so I'll never be returning.

Bathrooms are unhygienic and only one female bathroom available for all the guests. There's no power point in our room to charge our phones nor to have a fan. We had to have the window open because it's just too hot, and I've woken to mosquito bites everywhere. Brought our own towels, pillows and sheets due to the reviews, would recommend doing this if you do stay here. The location in terms of proximity to shops and beach is very good.

We did not stay at this venue, instead we had dinner here on our last day in Kiama. This place was suggested by our friend who is now a local in the area.

We ordered Chicken Parma, Fish of the day, parmesan chicken wings and garlic bread. The food was good all in all, the serving sizes were big. I think it was good value for money for 3 people dining in. Will definitely come back to this place if we crave for Pub/Bistro style food when we are in the area.

Ordered takeaway beef nachos on a Friday evening for $20. Worst nachos I've ever had! Was burnt (presumably under a grill) so corn chips were blackened and everything tasted smoky. A large pile of sour cream and guacamole was dumped on top to hide the charring. Underneath was cheese (hardly any) and a few beans. No tomato, onion beef or spices . . just a large pile of dry, smoked corn chips. Won't return.

This place is not fit for humans. Price point was low but not much less than a motel. But given the price I still expected it to be warm and hospitable, maybe with limited facilities and a shared bathroom. This room is freezing. There's no heating, none. It's as cold as outside. I actually wish I was sleeping in my car. The bedding is a very thin Donna, no sheets and extra blankets aren't even an option. My nose feels like it's about to fall off its so cold. It's musty smelling. The backs of the curtains are black and wet. The door is loud and clunky if you need to visit the bathroom. I'm too scared to fall asleep as it feels like we're in a fire trap, I'm sure the fire alarms don't work. I feel like I'll get beg bugs from this rotted place. The towels have redish mould stains on them. So we won't be showering here, which is probably for the best. I can't believe the owners here happily take peoples money in exchange for a night here. It's morally wrong. I'd feel more comfortable in a prison cell, it would seriously be more comfortable than this. I literally can't wait until daylight because I'll be out of here quicker than a rat up a drain pipe. Spare yourself the misery and do not stay here under any circumstances.

Accommodation - 2 stars, just. At $50 per night it's about what can be expected. Difficult to recommend, even at that price. Would do at a pinch for an overnighter. The basic rooms are small, cold, and very unwelcoming. New carpet and a coat of paint would make it a bit more welcoming. The shared facilities weren't bad in fairness.

Food - 4 stars. Some excellent pub meals available, had 3 dinners and all were great.

Staff - excellent, friendly etc.

Location - 5 stars. Great spot, walk to the waterfront and main street of Kiama. Pretty quiet area too.

Went to dinner with friends two weeks ago and a totally disappointing experience, bad choice. No one enjoyed their food, my steak was undercooked and tough - food was tasted only! Service was minimal, dining room unattractive, no talk of vibe here! Lights started to flicker at 8.00pm as we were the last guests dining and the only good thing was the wine. Choose take-away if you cant find anywhere else.

I never normally write reviews but WHO IS THE BLONDE IN THE GLASSES. I'm actually obsessed with her. she pours a killer beer and has a cracking smile. I go to this pub just to watch her work, its like everything she touches turns to gold. Go babe I'm rooting for you

This is by far the worst place I have stayed in Australia. Some rooms did not even have electrical sockets, jackhammers were blasting away next to the rooms, the showers were dirty and cold and beds positively ancient. Nothing was done to alleviate noisy guests. Management at the time didn't seem to care about their lodgings.

The best pub in Kiama. The owner Luke is an absolute legend and the staff are so kind.
Excellent espresso martini's and well priced beer! My friends and I booked the wrong night for this place and (when fully booked) Luke gave us blankets and pillows to sleep with - so grateful what a legend! Will be back for sure!

Atmosphere in main bar & dining area is great, with open fires. Staff are friendly but food not so good. Chips were tiny thin fries and cold, salad very limp and my snitty was over cooked. We had booked a table and for some reason they put us in a separate room that was not suitable at all so we stayed near open fire. Great for a drink but wouldn't eat there again

Ok pub but the rooms are very very very old and outdated. This really needs a renovation. Location is perfect though.

After catching the Kiama Picnic Steam Train from Sydney we decided to have lunch here.
The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. We sat at the tables outside on the pavement as it was such a nice day.
All round great corner pub for lunch.

What a great place. I asked for Sam's name (And I wish I had r the guy's name too, with the beard), because they were what hospitality is all about. I mentioned I'd stayed away because of Covid and they were extremely forthcoming to make sure I felt secure. Amazing facilities. 100%.

I got a salmon bowl and it was pretty good, not all that big but good for something small and light. Staff was friendly and casual. This place was nothing special but perfect for just a casual dinner at the pub.

The food was horrible. Waited almost an hour for my order to be wrong. Accosted by the chef after identifying that there was an issue with my food. Afterwards my rectified meal was served to me tepid. The steak was undercooked and no seasoning on any of the food. Horrible customer service and dining experience.

I paid $50 for a night here on last minute.com.au on a weeknight . I was upgraded to a double bed room which I was pleasantly surprised by . I didnt ask for this , it was offered this which I was thankful for . QThe room was very nice . It has no TV but that didnt bother me at all because I dont go on a holiday to watch TV, I can do that at home . All the staff were very friendly . Michelle in the bar area was an angel and Mel who is in charge of housekeeping made me feel so welcome . Her energy and happy personality bought a smile to my day and her warm welcome was a refreshing change from the moody people I often deal with in Sydney . I decided to stay another night because I felt so comfortable . Awesome staff , great location close to the beach , I had a fantastic 2 day break and I will tell all I meet about this great place . Other people have written reviews about some rooms not having power points .. big deal ! Get over it . Its a very old hotel . Just charge your phone in the Common area kitchenette and while your there say hello to other guests . Theres a TV in the common area if you need to watch some . Anyway I feel that holidays are about getting away and meeting others . I had a great time and I will return . Many thanks to amazing staff , very clean rooms and pure comfort ! 10 gold stars
