Grand Hotel Mt Morgan

5 stars for what it is, an old pub.
Had dinner here tonight (Thursday/Crumbed Steak Night) and it was fantastic. The boys had their desired crumbed steaks (very nice meals), the kids meal was nice and my gluten-free order was delicious, grilled fish and lots of greens. Thank you for making dining out with food intolerances possible. It means a lot to us. And a big Thank You to the bar maid who was by herself. Great job. Pleasant people.

Beautiful meal; exceptional service from barmaid on duty today 3/9/24 lunch time, went well above & beyond to help out. Patrons also very helpful. Cannot go beyond a good country town and pub. Thankyou all for your help very much appreciated

Great old pub, great food with a dedicated local chef. Highly rated Hamburgers, Chicken schnitzels and fantastic fat chips! Great food and service. Worth a look and try.

Lovely room with a comfy bed. The pictures on the booking sites don't do it justice. Spotlessly clean and neat. Friendly staff who are very helpful.

Food was less than average, ordered the fish and ribs. The fish was over cooked, chips under cooked. Got the 'ribs' which were 3 rubbery pork steaks. Wouldn't recommend either

Ordered fish (on blackboard menu outside pub), then told 15 mins later that there was no fish delivery today! So ordered seafood basket which had crumbed prawns, calamari, sea scallops & crumbed FISH! Must have been frozen, not fresh as no fish delivery that day! Good serving, however arrived at table barely warm & chips cold & a bit soggy, not crisp as they were under the seafood. Salad was good though.

Spent a few days at Mount Morgan, had their delicious pizzas on Monday night then had lunch there on Tuesday. Great service and our meals were cooked to perfection. Lovely friendly staff .... thank you, we will definitely back

Food is amazing, I've only ever had one bad meal here and the staff replaced it with another.
Rooms are nice and clean, they probably could benefit from a microwave.
Place is dead centre of town.
Try the food as the parmi was huge and lovely to eat.

On arrival, greeted by female and males staff members who was wearing footy shirt with their back to us and using their mobile phones...after 3 minutes, I said 'Hi, excuse me', then male turns to me with a 'In a sec'. Finally I get a beer, then the male bar attendant gets a hot meal, and proceeds to eat in front of us... Then he starts running from the bar to the front-door repeatedly yelling and swearing at folk he knows in the street. On my second beer female, attendant gets a plate of steak, chips and gravy and eats in front of us.... Then she serves a couple of guests with a mouth full of food, thus she is talking with a gob full of food....
after this and feeling nauseous, we left.

Wow.... had a great lunch with family on our visit to Mt Morgan. Recommended to all, very talented chef, quick and friendly service. Better than your standard pub menu. Time your trip to Mt Morgan to have lunch or dinner. You'll be very satisfied.
