Beautiful country pub. The food was lovely, and the portions were good. The staff are nice too. We went there for lunch, and it wasn't too busy. I loved the cheese garlic bread and the steak with mushroom sauce. If you have young kids, order pink lemonade for them. Our kids loved it! ? Oh! It's very clean and well maintained. There's no sticky floor or tables, and the toilets are clean too.

Fantastic service with absolutely amazing food. Best crumbed cutlets ever. They were delicious. A cosy log fire. The publican was so welcoming and friendly. We shall return.

This grand old pub open for food accommodation and a cold beer ? bistro pub style counter meals in a old world dinning room . Great public bar

Dropped in for a quick dinner.
Good variety of meals, vegetarian options being reasonably priced. Fast efficient service even on a Saturday night.
This is our second visit and we'll worth the stopover.

Lovely old building. Owner and staff make an effort. If you want the Hilton as the manager said go somewhere else lol. It's a lovely old building. We loved it and perfect at the price you pay. I can't fault the staff. Clean and full of knick nacks from the past. Great dining just downstairs and a Pub just over the road. Is it faultless no but remember its an old building near 200yrs old... but better than we expected. They were even polite when I set the fire alarm off burning the toast at 5am lol. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Hugable manager Eileen and Nicole the assistant. Down to earth people. Dogs allowed. We didn't complain.

After spending a week in Surfers Paradise we stayed next door to this pub, been there done that before, on our way home. The atmosphere and the meal were way better than anything we had at Surfers. Our thanks to the friendly wait staff and the chefs for a great night.

Simply country pub.
The food, service and patrons are so country, but that's a good thing.
Loved my meal.

We just stopped by for a coffee. It was a lovely surprise. The staff had the most welcoming smile we had seen in Australia. We were sad we couldn't stay longer in lovely Glen Innes. A must.

This is straight up a BANGER of a restaurant, if you're a local or a blow in, you're going to want to come here. The place has an authentic relaxed country pub meets classy restaurant vibe. The service was 5 stars, with the waiters and bartenders going above and beyond with service and the Chef's rustling up some great pub feeds. There is no doubt in my mind I'll be back to Glen Innes with a fist full of sapphires and a belly full of dinner and drinks from the Great Central Hotel. See you later xxz

We went there for dinner, oh my. How do I phrase this. Ordinary is probably the best I can do. The meal was ok,ish. My partner is a vegetarian, I know dodgy taste buds, but she was able to find one of here favourites. Fried Camembert with cranberry sauce, alas it arrived with no cranberry. The most wonderful bar lady, who was truly excellent came up with an alternative sauce. Sadly not so great. My steak arrived a bit later, also sadly a bit over cooked, the pepper sauce was good. All in all a bit disappointing saved only by the lovely bar lady, I wish I remembered her name, who fed us free alcohol to try and make up.

We enjoyed lunch at the hotel's bistro/coffee shop. The meals were well presented and delicious. I was able to order a locally brewed beer with lunch which was really good. I would definitely recommend and return.

Awesome Country Pub!
Basic but lovely rooms, ample amenities and beautifully decorated.
Tony was a very welcoming host to 3 Bikers with no booking and storms to dodge, and again 4 days later on our return trip.
Great food in the bar, fancier in the restaurant if you prefer, just a lovely place to stay. Right in the middle of town too.

The food was tasty, well cooked and the serving size was average. I bought a schooner of stout that was on- tap, the price charged was $9.96 making it the dearest beer I've ever bought at a country pub. I'll definitely be returning for a meal but I'll have a beer when I get home.

Lovely simple, clean, timeless rooms, cozy guest lounge and kitchen, welcome open fire downstairs to dine near. This stately old hotel is central, welcoming, and budget
friendly. It ticked all our boxes.
