About The Great Lake Hotel

It's nice and clean hotel. The room is spacious and comfortable. After we checked in, we had our dinner in the hotel restaurant. We ordered Highland Venison and Mushroom Pot Pie, Seafood Chowder, Half Shell Miso & Ginger Tasmanian Scallops and the Sweet Potato Fries. Each dish is well prepared and taste is good. At the time we visited there it was in Autumn 2022. I can imagine it would be cozy to have dinner there when it is winter.

15/1/24We had a lovely lunch for our 41st Wedding Anniversary today.
Chicken schnitzel and Apple cider pork Schnitzel were great.
Perfect timing didn't take too long to get there and home by 4pm after stopping in Deloraine Thank you for looking after us so well.

We were back today 13/10/24 Birthday lunch couldn't get any better
We were spoiled for sure!!!
Great food, brilliant staff, fantastic location, and a beautiful drive to get there and home.
The Apple pie and singing us Happy Birthday were icing on the cake.

Solid pub meals with friendly service. Clean and well presented, if a bit cool. The lemon-lime-bitters was on point too, best I've had, using local bitters.

Been there for 2 days: was so cozy, feels like home. Declan, Nicki, James and all the team are so welcoming 🥰🥰 and the food is really good, and cherry on the cake there is chimney ??"?🫶🏻

Had dinner here last night. Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Comfy seats, cosy cushions and absolutely delicious food. Topped off with a Willie Smith hot spiced apple cider for dessert. Loved this place

Had a great stay at hotel caravan park and while we had to cut our stay 1dayshort due to personal reasons we will be back. We found all staff friendly and easy to get on with , a special shout out to ANDREA for her smiling face and bubbly personality under pressure in the dining room it was worth the slight delay just too see it???-. Congratulations to the owners on the improvements made to the complex and we wish them all the best for the future. Brian & Carol
