Stayed overnight on Thursday 4/4.
Cobar is a very convenient location if you're travelling on the A32.
Locals were friendly enough and up for a chat. The girls behind the bar were also very friendly and chatty and I had fun explaining to them South Australian Beer sizes vs NSW.
The Beer (I had a Hahn 3.5) was cold and crisp.
I had a Chicken Schnitzel with Dianne sauce and Chips, very tasty and no complaints there. However the older lady at the Bistro wasn't exactly the most pleasant of people to be around and was quite rude. It actually made the young girl with her quite uncomfortable.
The room I stayed in was on par with most motels / hotels I've been in and reflects the price. For $80 I was actually expecting your normal upstairs Pub room, but was pleasantly surprised. The bed and linen were fresh, clean, comfortable and cosy. The Aircon and TV worked perfectly, Fridge was working fine as well. The bathroom could do with a touch-up but it was adequate for someone like me and bigger than my own bathroom at home. The shower was hot and water pressure was good. The towels were clean and fresh. The toilet was clean and worked fine.
I would definitely come here again and honestly, $80 for a motel room when everywhere else in town is $100 - $150 upwards, as long as I have a bed to sleep in and a hot shower, I'm set.
