Green Man's Arms Bar And Restaurant

I don't typically leave reviews but I feel compelled to after dining here last night. Took a friend to go try it out and we were both very, very impressed. We had the calamari dish as entree, following by the cheeseburger and mushroom steak. We couldn't pass up dessert after the first 3 excellent dishes. Service was friendly and attentive, ambience was great and the food was amongst the very best vegan feeds I've had in Melbourne. We're both eager to go back and try more of the menu.

Such a cool pub, the food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Extra points for being vegan but you could bring your non vegan friends / family here and they would be impressed. Would come back and highly recommend.

I recently visited Green Mans Arms and tried their $20 pasta special (Wednesday night). I opted to take the meal as a takeaway and was surprised by how light the bag was. Unfortunately, the serving size was extremely small and not worth the $20 price tag. After eating i was unsatisfied and had to order more food from a different venue. While the quality of the pasta was decent, the portion size left much to be desired. I hope you guys consider adjusting their portion sizes or pricing to offer better value for money.

100% vegan pub with a great 100% vegan menu alongside wonderful craft beers.
This was a superb find during a visit to Melbourne in May 2024.
Great place in a great neighbourhood.
Cozy pub atmosphere with friendly staff.
Vegan-friendly.
First we stopped for a pint, then we returned for a full meal.
Indoor and outdoor seating.
Right on the tram line with many tram routes passing by.
Can't wait to return.

Personally found the eggplant schnitzel delicious! Good portion and surprisingly filling. Loved how the 'vegan ramen' looked like tonkotsu. Was impressed because they replicated the look of a meaty ramen very well. It was a pretty busy night so service lacked a bit and was lost amid the flooded crowd. Food was a little pricey than expected, however was worth it for the eggplant. Overall, had a great time but would explore my options.
