This is the gem of Greenwell Point that the tourists generally pass by without knowing what they are missing. On the outside, and inside, just a basic local pub to look at. Nothing flash. But...the food is great. The Pizzas have lots of topping and are delicious. The meals are generous and reasonably priced. The service is great. Staff are happy to help. Generally quick service unless exceptionally busy. It has wheelchair access. It has a fireplace to sit by in winter. It usually runs raffles on busier days/nights. Usually prizes are vouchers to get meat from the local butchery, which is also great. If you are on holiday for the week, you could win your meat for the week for the family. The pub is the local haunt but so much more. Only downside I see is that like all our roads, the Carpark has potholes. If you go on a special day, e.g., Mother's Day, you need to book in advance or you might miss out. While the madding hordes line up at establishments down the road, we had our choice of table and were all happily eating whilst the others were still lined up not knowing what they were missing. Greenwald Point Pub is one of our go-to places to enjoy a good meal out at a reasonable price.
