Hamer's Bar & Bistro - Pub in Strahan Tasmania

Awesome food and drinks with great staff and chef! We arrived without a booking and was asked to wait until a table to freed up. Not long after a bus load of people (who had tables reserved) arrived. As we waited in the bar, we could see the dishes being taken through to the restaurant and they looked fantastic, with large portions and all well presented. Based on what we saw, we had chosen our meals. Finally, we did get a table however was soon asked by Kate, who was working feverishly, if we could move to another table. Kate was so polite and friendly, and continued to look after us (and others) for the night. Much appreciated Kate. When meals arrived, we were not disappointed. They looked just like the one's served earlier in the evening. The tastes were incredible, and all our dishes were exceptional with the freshest of ingredients. Totally recommend the Salmon with lemon pasta, however the Pan Fried Chicken and Fish of the Day satisfied my companions. Huge thankyou to the chef and her/his staff.
