I like this place. It has more of a quiet vibe. A great venue to sit and chill and catch up with mates. Minimalist, yet cosy. Dosen't seem to get too hectic; either noisy or crowded. A tolerant space for a host of personalities.
Most times ot has a homely vibe.

Edit: They make a world class Boulevardiare.

If you're looking for a cute, quirky and unpretentious bar, this is the place.

The owners are lovely, warm and welcoming. They make great cocktails, have a regular rotation of good local beers on tap, and a humble but tasty selection of a few wines.

They don't serve food but there are really great places around to order in and have delivered to the bar with no issue.

I love coming here because it's a community that shows up. I'm not uncomfortable surrounded by too many strangers like I would be at other places. I love participating in the Daily quiz or helping pick the next record to play.

If you would rather be surrounded by yuppies you don't know or like, might I suggest Nord

Someone was dealing weed out the back in the beer garden, openly on one of the tables.
People were way too drunk and stumbling around.
Cocktail we ordered was good.
Service was... what do you want? Here's your drink. Pay here.
Seems to be a bunch of friends run it and drink there now but not a place to sit and relax otherwise.

It was great as Hard Rubbish but I think it's best to give it a miss now and leave it to this group of friends to have their fun.

For the owner.
You have on google that you serve jaffles, baked beans, caramelised onion relish and something named "pearl harbour" listed under food. Food is advertised but not served which explains the low rating

Singling out a staff member to give credit to them for doing welI, I thought was a positive.
The cocktail she served was good and credit is deserved. I will delete the positive points about your staff from the review to no longer worry you.
