i used to love coming here. I came here for my 18th and haven't stopped since, tonight me and my friend were hanging out and she needs to go to the bathroom (tmi but she was pooping) and i went with her and the manager, whom was had blonde ombré hair, came banging on the door and said if we're throwing up we needed to leave, and i told her we weren't, and then went to go to a different bar, we went back at the end of the night as they are one of the bars that close later, and were told we had been banned. we requested to know why, and the security guard said he wont ask and that we needed to leave. extremely disappointed since the manager assumed wrong and didn't get our side. won't be returning, wouldn't recommend.

hats and tatts is one of my favourite bars in the city, but not anymore.

my friend and i went there for a night out, we had a drink pp. i needed the restroom and had my friend accompany me, we were in there for a short while since i needed a #2.

the blonde manger lady came knocking at the door saying "if you're vomitting, get out."

after i did my business, we left to go elsewhere.

when we came back, we got told we're banned. the security talked to the manger and confirmed it. we wanted to know why so we could avoid it in the future, but they refused and denied to explain.

EXTREMELY disappointed and sad NOT GOING BACK.

Still the best burger in town. Az has great music taste, Josh and Casey give the best hospitality in town and it's just an all around classic and must visit in Melbourne.

Great space, friendly staff. Unfortunately it doesn't seem accessible, with a staircase to get up, but there's a great selection of drinks, knowledgeable bartenders, surprisingly good bar food, that won't break the bank either. would recommend a visit if you're wanting a nice night out in the city. Rooftop bar is a good way to get some fresh air too.
