Helm Bar & Bistro - Pub in Sydney New South Wales

Came here with family only because we had vouchers,
I've always wanted to eat around these here parts but I think I was late to the party, the atmosphere isn't what is used to be years ago.
Prices were ok I guess for darling harbour, the food came out super quick and we had no complaints. I still can't get my head around how these places charge almost $5 for a glass of coke and yet charge $7 for a beer.....
we made a booking which was bonus to be able to do, arrived early and were seated straight away.

Helm Bar & Bistro offers a lively atmosphere, though it can be a bit too loud for a relaxed catch-up with friends. The music was just instrumental, but it was challenging to hold a conversation and hear each other clearly.

The food was decent, with some standout dishes. The pizza was particularly tasty, but the grilled fish could use some refinement; the sauce was overly sour and salty. On the positive side, the drinks were enjoyable and well-prepared.

While the staff were friendly, they seemed a bit overwhelmed, and there were moments when communication could have been clearer. Overall, it was an okay experience, but with a few improvements in ambiance and service, it could truly elevate the dining experience.🙂🙂🙂

I had a great dining experience here! The food was incredibly fresh, and every dish was full of flavor. The service was impressively quick, making the entire meal even more enjoyable. I especially loved the aioli dip served on the side - it complemented the dishes really well. However, it would have been nice to have a choice of dips. Overall, a wonderful place with delicious food and excellent service!

Great location next to the aquarium with a convenient setup and beautiful harbor views. The atmosphere is relaxing with nice music and a bar. There's plenty of seating and open space, making it a comfortable spot to unwind

Situated steps from the aquarium at Darling Harbour, Helm is bright and breezy and a lovely venue at which to while away a few hours.

The food and drinks are both well priced and our meals all arrived promptly.
