Just there today for lunch and ordered from our table via the ME&U app which is also very good. Wife had the steak sandwich and I had the battered fish and chips both of which were very nice. The service was friendly and efficient. Well done, guys! 4.7 stars.

Just come back from Melbourne cup luncheon at highbury hotel . The setting , staff , food was amazing. Had the best Melbourne cup luncheon for a long time . Will certainly be booking again next year. Gave our comment of how impressed we were to staff to be passed on to everyone including the chefs who did a delicious meal well done guys .

Amazing service, lovely little play ground! Staff went above and beyond, i ordered the wrong thing ( fish grilled not battered ) and they replaced it free of change even though it was my mistake!

Chicken tastes like it was raw it was hard to chew and I am not a fan do not come here

We have been to the sports bar regularly and have enjoyed their Pint and Parmi deal which has always been great. Today we were not impressed at all. The schnitzels crumbs were gluggy and they just used a tomato paste for the sauce! The chips were not salted and the salad looked like it had been sitting on the counter all day and had no dressing on it which made it extremely dry.
Very disappointed, and will reconsider going there in future.

Great food, excellent service from friendly female, super bubbly, friendly blonde hair female. Table of 6 adults & 2 children very good service from her.

Had a sit down dinner with the family, service was really good and the place was nice. Really high ceilings and a couple of TVs with sports on. The menu is a bit lacking in variety but everyone enjoyed their meals and service was really quick too.

Came here for a birthday lunch today, and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of service from all of the floor staff (especially since I asked to switch tables because I was cold and I know that can be painful ?). Staff were lovely, checking in on the food and drinks. The food was superb, delicious garlic bread, flavoursome and crunchy crumbed parmesan with a tasty cranberry sauce. Partner had the seafood trio, all cooked perfectly, and I had a rare 300g scotch with garlic prawn sauce that was amazing. Wonderful dining experience and we will be back!

Normally they are alright, but the last few times they have been quite bad. Tonight was terrible. Burger was the size of a kids meal, chips all hardly cooked. The salt and pepper squid was honestly the worst pub food I have ever seen. Frozen rubbish from a bag without a doubt. Salads we ordered 3 and all were tiny and disappointing.

Was a shame we paid upfront because I would have refused to pay for such poor food. Staff were good, waiter offered us free desert or coffee, but even with that was over priced for the terrible standard of food.

The whole table left unhappy and hungry. Chef needs to consider a new career as the quality of food coming out of that kitchen was a joke. Staff said the head chef was 'doing something else', unless they just picked a random person off the street it would explain the poor food. I would be embarrassed to serve food that looked like that to any house guest I had. Will not be back there anytime soon, such a disappointment.

Revisited the front bar with friends during happy hour. Good choice of beer on tap and tasty Schnitzels. We won a meat tray which contained a mix of good quality snags, loin chops steak and chicken. We'll be back!

Awesome food. Everything was cooked to perfection. Desserts were delicious. The new chef is just what this wonderful Hotel needed. I loved watching how hard they work back there too. Will be back on a weekly basis now. Well done ??'??

Sadly the chips were far from hot and the salt and pepper squid seemed like it wasn't cooked at a hot enough temperature as it was very pale and a bit hard. Bowl of salad was soggy at the bottom with a pool of dressing. Beef schnitzel with creamy garlic sauce tasted nice although chips were also not hot. I won't be returning.

Nice venue with a friendly atmosphere. All the staff were cheerful and the service was great. Short menu which I always appreciate, its generally a representation of their care, which was no exception here. Keep it simply and do it right.
Tonight we ordered using the online QR from the table. Drinks arrived literally moments after we confirmed the order.
The food arrived pretty quickly aswell.
We had a garlic pizza as entrée.
I got the rib eye, rare, I included a picture cut so you can see they hit the mark.
My partner got Maple glazed chicken which was also tasty and well presented.

Went there for lunch, I had the seafood duo. Boy I was impressed with the seafood, it was fresh & beautifully cooked. The salad was nice & fresh. The fries were beautifully done, but unfortunately they were a a bit over salted. The staff were very nice, friendly & helpful.

Went to the Highbury to take my mother in law for lunch at the front bar and we had a lovely experience. Jenine at the front bar was very friendly and made sure we were well looked after. I would definitely eat at the front bar again.

I've loved this place since I've been born, but for the past couple months things have been odd. We got there at 5:30 and were greeted to order only at 6. My son and daughters meal came out immediately. My meal and my wives meal didn't come out for 20 minutes. We questioned the lady and she said. "It won't take much longer" When it was about 40 minutes after we went up again. We demanded a refund they then proceeded to rush our food. It was undercooked, chips were soggy and the meal was bland and wasn't even worth it. I asked for a take out container. The lady forgot about us and only gave it to us 10 minutes later. My kids said they couldn't of even felt the food in them at this point.

I tried to take my family out for a nice dinner to celebrate school holidays.

We went to the Highbury Hotel for dinner tonight with my two young kids for my birthday. The food was fast and we enjoyed our meals, and the kids had an awesome time playing on the clean new looking indoor playground. It was great as me and my husband were able to relax for once! And best of all the staff were absolutely lovely. The young boy who was there taking orders and also waiting was really kind and lovely, and even offered to take a family photo for us. And the young lady was also really lovely. They both helped to make my birthday experience really fantastic. First time that we came and we will definitely be back!

We had dinner tonight at the Highbury. We were greeted at the door by a lovely man called Daniel. The staff had outstanding customer service. Our meals were brought out promptly and tasted divine. Thankyou so much to the Chef's and all the staff for such a amazing night out. We will be back

Usually love this pub however went their for husbands birthday tonight. Ordered at 6 sons meal came out straight away, he ate then after half an hour of no sign of ours we asked where they were, hadn't even been cooked. Waited 10.min then went up for a refund & they had rushed meals out. Very disappointed!

Amazing food, amazing service, friendly staff. We were served by the bubbly, friendly and polite young girl named Julia, she was fantastic, whatever we needed or asked for she provided with a smile and great personality. In fact all staff were attentive and polite, smiles all round. The chef was incredible, polite and friendly as well. Very very happy and cannot wait to eat here again.

I went to the Highbury Hotel last night with family, everyone received their dinners after a unreasonable long wait (almost an hour) except for myself, they had completely forgotten my order which then I had to wait even longer than an hour for. My partner questioned where it was and they knew what table number we were seated at before we could mention it. When my meal was finally brought out I requested a take away container as everyone had finished their food and the servers response was that they could give me a napkin to take my chicken schnitzel plate out on. There was no apologies for the delay or any offer of compensation and to top it off the food was bland and no one else at the table really enjoyed their meal either.

I don't normally make reviews but I made a google account just to post this as this was the worst dining experience I have had in this area.

Place was definitely not crowded as it was a Wednesday Lunch. The service was great the food was delicious and plenty of it. They did not scrimp at all, the drinks were beaut and all in all it was a very pleasant outing.
Will definitely mark it down to go back again

Great range of pub food for good prices, especially as they regularly have 2 for 1 deals. Tasty, plenty of tables and a reasonable veg/salad bar.

Was moderately busy when I went there. The young lady bartender seemed to be quite busy at the time and was doing her best to cater to the requests of patrons at the bar. Nice quiet pub/hotel located on North East Road. Seems like a very popular place for the locals nnu2b50u2b50u2b50

Came in for steak night and what a good steak it was. Cooked to my liking and was so juicy. Will be back next week.

Good selection of food. 2 for 1 lunch special. Would have liked to see sweet potato wedges instead of normal. Not a great option for vegetarian.
