I was very excited to try this place as there was so many nice dishes when you check their instagram page like eggplant and desserts too baklava so the thing is its pretty basic like any other boring place i went to.. food was all right but i wouldn't get back there. You need to put the same food you advertise for otherwise nobody will be back to your place. Misleading ??

Very fancy hotel, lots of variety of food and dessert. Very spacious and can cater for large groups. Thanks Highland hotel for catering for our Link community and transport's volunteer dinner last night it was fantastic ?

Delicious buffet, huge variety, great value, helpful and very friendly staff. You can have over 4 courses and prices start at around $30. Discounts for seniors too. Don't hesitate, come, eat, enjoy.

Large range of gluten and dairy free options. Ask the chef, they are happy to help with making sure people with allergies have a good selection of food, which is rare for buffets.

Update: always a great experience. They send a $30 birthday gift too, so it's worth signing up.

Not a bad buffet.

The food was tasty but not excited,l. Good quality but not many options. The deserts needs to improve.

I recommend if you are looking for a buffet that won't impress you.

The price was "ok", however, they can improve.

The service was very nice. The waiters and the people working serving the food were very nice.

Very nice ambiance..open n welcoming.
The buffet was qell arranged and all the foods was excellent!!! And they have my fave..tiramisu was yummmm.

Heard good reports about Highlands Hotel from friends.

Decor and ambience were good

Entry was not so good. Took an extremely long time to get seated, long queue with only one person taking payment.

The table allocated was iideally located and clean.

Food was plentiful and well presented. However, was a little inconsistent.

Prawns were a disappointingly small, thesalt and pepper calamari was fantastic.

Roast beef portions carved were really small, which may have been a blessing as what was served was extremely difficult to cut and very tough to eat.

Baked potatoes were perfect and hot. Vegetables were good. However, chips were barely warm and tasteless.
Desserts were really, really good.

Maybe lunch during the week is different to the weekend, which when my friends that made the recommendations were there.
I am going to have to try the venue again, just to be sure my experience was not just an aberration.

Good variety of food. Many seating times to choose from and long enough to enjoy the food without hurrying. Plenty of parking available. One can hold birthday celebrations as there were many in progress.
Easy booking system online. Works for both lunch and dinner. Highly recommended

Came in for Father's Day and it was a pleasant experience! Very modern hotel, heaps of food to choose from (I liked their curry the most), their desserts were amazing, neat and tidy, plenty of seating arrangement to choose from when you book online. Wish they had more seafoods to choose from though like adding crabs on the menu!

First time visiting this place and it's a surprisingly good all you can eat buffet restaurant. Place looks very new, modern, clean and had a great ambiance. Food was good too with many options to choose from and a full bar servings soft drinks and alcohol. However for me the Desert bar was the highlight. Price per head was very reasonable too. We had a group of 20 there to celebrate a birthday and we had a great time.

Only been here ones but I really enjoyed it, $35 for an adult and its all you can eat for 2hrs, then you have to leave. Drinks you only get water the rest you have to pay. Will be back again!

It's a must-visit spot for families, big or small. Many spots are instaworthy. Plenty of halal dietary options that are clearly marked with green round stickers on their name badge. All food is beautifully presented, the place has great vibes with one of the cleanest environments that I've ever seen in Melbourne, including their toilets. There's plenty of seating, and space to move around because they allow you a total of 1hr 50min for buffet so enjoy being there. Drinks are not included in the buffet, unfortunately. For kids, there's a playing area so they can enjoy as well, and there is wheelchair access for those who may need.

The buffet options were plenty and a lot to choose from including various cuisine types. The dessert section could be more.
It was overall very crowded and weekend can see queues.

It's a great grandeur place with generous amount of wheelchair parking lots. The international buffet caters to various palattes and the food is scrumptious. A fantastic bar, attentive staff, lots of amenities and great value for money.

We took the lunch buffet it was 31 dollar per head , have halal verity which is plus points.

Food taste was not great but okay to have with friend and family and good time out.

great place to eat lot. if you are sea food lover, it is the best place for your place. you can enjoy 2 hours for your booking and they have lots of varieties. if you have any celebration, it is god to book a table . Nice place and they have excellent level customer service.I love to eat desert. compare with the price it is cheap place if you have big stomach.

I love this place regarding of food so many varieties for multicultural people u have chance to taste and try other dishes.we have seafood, meat,pasta. More salad..u can invite as u can .u must booking first before you come in .we have children playhouse.is really have fun.i recommended this place if you have birthday. Nice place to dine in . Plenty of Halal options All halal items are marked with Green stickers. Nicely presented and neat and clean environment with plenty of seating, drinks not included in buffet, best is kids playing area so they can enjoy as well, wheelchairs access .

I still love to remember the experience I had at the Highlands Hotel with my family. We all enjoyed the variety of food there. All were so tasty and fresh. Each and every bite of desserts are heavenly and yummy. I would surely recommend the place to anyone who is fond of tasting variety of food and enjoy meals ? ??

We arrived at 8:30PM on Thursday and there were guys, visibly drunk, pretending to be security guards working for highlands hotel, smoking in your face and harrasing patrons by asking for IDs.
Does not dwell well. Dear highlands hotel management, please take cognizance of this.
The security at the security desk was prompt and helpful.

Probably one of my favourite AYCE hotels that are on the cheaper side! Had a nice variety, loved how they had seafood there as well! And the place looks really classy compared to other buffets

Food was nice. The dessert was delicious, especially the sticky date pudding. We went on a Sunday which was quite expensive. The staff were friendly.

Incredible place for celebrating a great event with friends and family. The food is great and comes in a very wide range, so anyone can find something to eat. The kids play area is also a great addition to let kids play and also have fun in family gatherings.

Great quality food with a good variety of options. Clean facilities, nice atmosphere and most of the staff were very attentive. Bar one abruptly spoken individual behind the bar lol. Took it as she had a long day (sometimes we have them - decided to laugh it off) didn't take away from the occasion. Will return and would recommend.

Great place. When you walk in, you forget what suburb you're in! HahaVery grand inside. Nice and clean. Friendly staff. The bistro has great food for lunch or dinner.The amenities are also very clean, which is important, I think. I will certainly visit again.

Had my birthday dinner with my family at Highlands Hotel Craigieburn 25th January. The chef was absolutely amazing , he whipped up a beautiful array of dishes and dessert for my daughter who is a vegan. Highly recommended

Great staff with good variety of beers off tap. Highly recommend 4 pines pale ale off tap. Also steak always cooked to perfection with awesome crispy chips on the side

For the amount paid for a weekend dinner-

Too noisy, can't put this on management obviously as it was very busy and looked more like a food court on that Sunday night.

The food+dessert was just okay. Nothing very delicious or amazing. Customer service was a bit slow for removing plates from tables given the busy nature at that point of time.

Tried buffet for the first time in this hotel. (hosted by friends). Lot of Halal options available. A good variety of sweet and savoury dishes. They also have a play area for kids . Recommended.
