Usually, I don't like pubs but this one is different. It is very well maintained and clean, there is a friendly atmosphere and staff are very friendly and helpful. We just had the "worker's lunch" which was a rump steak with fries and salad and it even came with a free drink - all of that for just $20. The meat was very good and had an intense charcoal flavour. For me it was almost a bit too intense but it's definitely worth the experience. If you're in the area and are in need for a nice meal there is no reason looking any further. 100% recommended.

Lovely pub! 3 floors of seating options, the first floor had a lovely cosy fireplace and balcony seating, but we opted for the rooftop. I had heard the view of the city was amazing, and it did not disappoint! Although it was raining it was still warm and dry, and had a lovely Sunday pub meal and drinks. I enjoyed the bangers and mash. Service was very quick, and staff happy to help. Overall, recommend!

Amazing food, drinks and team working here! The cosmo is an absolute must try- best one I've ever had hands down. We had steak, the rotisserie chicken, prawns and a few drinks and absolutely nothing disappointed! Will absolutely be coming back, couldn't fault a thing!

We had a nice experience. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. They have a variety of options on the menu for vegetarians and vegans.
The main employee that served us was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Unfortunately not all the staff had the same knowledge and friendly demeanour.
I would come back to Hobson's Bay Hotel the food and drinks were great.

New Locals to Williamstown after buying our hm & a walk down to Hobson Bay Hotel. Such a great experience & view from the rooftop was amazing. Service was 10/10 making our 1st experience so memorable. The food also 10/10 from the beef tartar & Parma. We will be regulars for sure.

The staff were friendly but unfortunately the service wasn't great. The dining room was extremely crowded and very difficult to walk around the table. Our requested high chair was not available, the waitress was very hard to flag down to ask for more water or drinks in general. Our food took a long time to arrive, and when it did the steak was well over cooked and served with no sides, merely topped with peas and pea shoots. Very surprised to find out that it was $60 (market price).The parmas were small and had hardly any cheese or sauce. The burger was mediocre. Overall, I wouldn't go back unfortunately as it's poor value for money and not family friendly.

Came with a group of 11. Ordered 4 streaks, 3 roasts amongst other meals. The rib eye 500gram steaks were over priced ($80), well under cooked for a medium rare and majority fat and tendons. 3 roast pork dishes were pink and well under cooked. Ordering took for ever and service was no one upstairs for service. Will definitely not be returning.

Great pub with awesome food and multiple dining spaces spread over three floors, including panoramic views of the city from the rooftop bar.

Food is actually extremely delicious and cooked with the right temperature,unfortunately i was disappointed that the salad that came with the steak does not even include any work
Just baby rockets and it was $39 for not even tender piece of meat.
The place itself is also very well designed and you feel comfortable sitting there for a long time
The place is also dog friendly and you can take your dogs upstairs

Lovely spot in Williamstown. Food is amazing and very reasonably priced. The views are second to none. Will be back!

Had a reservation for 20+ people on the roof top. Great communication by staff and the staff were friendly. Meals were beautiful. Can't wait to come back again. Thanks guys

My partner and I went for dinner tonight foods was amazing i love every single dishes ! Great service as well.

The beef tartare was really good, beer and wine good as usual, yummy chimichurri but the Sunday roast a bit of a disappointment... the roasted rump was mostly fatty and the portion quite tiny. I would recommend to go for any other option.

Excellent rooftop bar with fantastic views. Beer is reasonably priced and the staff are great. Two thumbs up.

First visit to Hobson's Bay Hotel as we have just moved to the area. Wow! It is amazing. Great food, service and wine. Delicious raw kingfish and rainbow trout. What more could we want? Definitely coming back again.
