Busy Friday night and all was fantastic. Kids meals came out in great time and all meals for our table of 10 adults came out together. Food was all delicious. Well done to this team .

Bad customer service took almost and hour to deliver my food. I got a simple schnitzel with gravy and received almost no gravy and cold chips. Cut down on sizes and make food quicker next time and lower prices. Food was good.

Wow. Hadn't been here for a while. Big renovation and a great job well done. Quiet Monday night for a late dinner. Awesome food, lovely menu, with huge servings. Great one man band on service from the bar to the food. Easy parking too at the rear.

Atmosphere is as expected in a well-frequented pub. Menu and taste of main meals good but, in all honesty, best to leave out deserts. While the latter looked delectable, they did not taste good at all. Perhaps a change of desert chefs should seriously be considered by Holdy management.

Portion sizes are huge so great value for money.
Service was a little slow however this may be due to being super busy over Gather Round weekend.
I ordered the fish and chips but it was just too oily.
The tables were also super close. Unfortunately the patrons next to us were talking on the phone on loudspeaker which was very annoying.

Flavours were rich and textures were amazing. Cocktails were really yummy too, I had the springtime splice. Staff were friendly, patient and helpful. Atmosphere was nice not too loud even with the crowds. The furniture was nicely spaced and the ship feel decor was really well done and not over the top..

I went with a group of 30 for Xmas lunch.They had a specials menu so I chose the chicken schnitzel for $17.90 which seemed a great price until it arrived at the table.It was basically an oversized chicken nugget.Put that with a pint of hard solo at $12.60 it was a total rip off.

The service when we went in for lunch on a Wednesday, was hit and miss.
The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. It is always very busy, but the good amount of soft furnishings the noise levels are controlled. The very young lady who greeted and sat us was lovely and friendly, and then unfortunately another very young woman who served me at the bar when I was ordering coffee, was rude, bored and surly. She was very unfriendly. She may have been having a bad day.
The meals we had were lovely. My arancini were delicious and hot, perfect, and the zucchini chips were a great dish to try, healthy style hot chips. The seniors meals were substantial and tasty and satisfying as well. The seniors deals are great value and well thought out. The food came out quickly as well.
I would recommend coming here but, some of the young staff need further training in the art of service and hospitality.

Had some nice meals here but this was very average. Soup's texture and taste was poor and schnitzel dried out. Charged for two drinks we didn't order. On payment, asked how it was and we gave the information but no reaction.

Good value meals. The food was good. Very large serves. Friendly service, not expert but good pub vibe.

Popped in for a quick drink and ending up staying for the pizza break special, at that price it's insane not to. Service was great and pizza was so much better than expected. I can see now why it was so busy. Such a pleasant surprise and will be going back for more of the weekly specials definitely

Just had one of the worst meals of my life here, we got one of the share platters and barely anything on it was appealing. Ordered two pina coladas and what we got was a room temp plastic cup of coconut water with a shot in it. One of our friends left early because he was feeling ill. I mean just look at these sad looking chicken wings...

Relaxed atmosphere with a nautical theme. Saturday night crowd was a mix of young and old, with several large friend and family groups.

Chef's special menu and the regular menu offered a wide range of classics like steaks and lamb shanks, pub favourites such as schnitzels, burgers & pizzas as seafood laksa, a Moroccan style pork fillet and lamb chops.

Portions are generous and plated nicely. Service was prompt and cheerful. Oh, mustn't forget the extensive wine list by the glass and bottle.

Beef shnitzel with pepper sauce. Tasted great, chips were crispy with a nice flavour, salad was ok. A well rounded meal for $21. Off street parking.

Had very good meals for work lunch (pictured). We were lucky to get a table as the seniors packed the place out to get their lunch deal, so recommend booking. Very good wine list for a pub, good selection of beers. Pleasant atmosphere, good amenities.

This Hotel at The Bay, has a very pleasant Nautical Theme, with spacious Indoor and Outdoor Dining areas and a Gaming area with new games. Plenty of great food and beverage to select from the Menus all at a fair price.

Staff are friendly nice and clean nice decor the food was hot very tasty. The shared platter is delicious and definitely worth trying its a good feed for 2 or maybe 3 with a good selection on it definitely will be going back again

Went to the Hold fast Hotel to celebrate my mother- in - laws birthday. The food was good and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good afternoon out.

Excellent. Seniors meals great. Soup $3.00 and deserts $2.00. $20.00 all up and a 3 course meal. Greal service and pleasant staff. Holdy is a winner in my books.

A Glenelg institution for decades with a great modern feel. Friendly staff, great drinks range and delicious meals.

The food is pretty standard as far as pub food goes. The dishes are really hit or miss. There's a nice atmosphere in the venue. My family like attending during happy hour for the cheap beers. There's only 1 male toilet cubicle in the restaurant which is poor planning and gives me anxiety.

Holdy is an excellent pub. Great selection of beer, including specials board of Craft beers. Meals are very good. Large meals for the hungry. Great location, atmosphere and service.

Staff great. Food extremely good. Surroundings very relaxing but because quite large it was noisy, however there was a nice lounge area if you had to wait for a table, and there were a couple of fires going as it was a cold night. Better than normal pub food.

Normally good. The bistro has always been good and the bar is comfortable and you can get snacks like wings etc.

Delicious food. Very generous prices. Lovely staff. Great place for a party or celebration.

Meals are delicious. I had pork ribs. Single meal is really enough for two. Same for fish, enough for two unless you are really hungry. Have eaten here often. Always the same quality meals, good service and good tasty meals.
