Holgate Brewhouse - Pub in Woodend Victoria

A great local historic pub and brewery right in the heart of Woodend, with warm decor that offers classic meals, accommodation and catering for events. Open every day from 12 noon til late, 7 days for lunch, dinner or just drinks, with a good selection of local food and drinks for all tastes. Food is always tasty, juicy, and delicious and very generous in size and reasonably priced. Suggest you try their favourites like the lemon pepper calamari for entree, the falafel wrap and chips or the pale ale fish and chips or their signature beef pie for mains, for an out of this World dining experience. Everything is always fresh and served quickly, and the staff are welcoming, friendly and professional too. Seating is very comfortable for couples or families and the restaurant is very clean with a fireplace to keep things cosy... and don't forget to taste their beer paddle! Very Highly recommended 😀😀😊

A group of 10 of us visited the pub & the brewery. We had a very informative tour of the brewery and the accomodation.
Lunch was very nice in the private room with a beautiful fire place.
Service was excellent.
We enjoyed everything and highly recommenced it..

Really good food and friendly customer service. I got the falafel wrap and my partner god the fish and chips. We were both really happy with our meals. It was refreshing to get a falafel wrap from a restaurant that didn't feel dry at all. The pitta was great and the hummus even better

Food was a mixed bag. Lamb gnocchi delicious but the pot pie that two of us had was unbelievably spicy. Not advertised as spicy and the waitress confirmed it wasn't supposed to be (not that she did anything about it other than 'letting the kitchen know). As a result we left most of the meal. Very disappointing as we've had good meals there before.

Our girl's night was a success. We loved the fireplace and the ambiance in the dining room. Half our group tried the specials and were very pleased with the pork dish. The vegetarian of our group was blown away by the miso eggplant dish and the warm spiced cider was perfect on that chilly night. All guests happy, would go back next time we're in the area.
