Possibly the best schnitzel I've had around Newcastle. Huge portion size, great atmosphere and the food tasted amazing.

My five year old has allergies to dairy and egg. We came in for dinner tonight with his soccer team to celebrate their end of season. I asked the person taking orders what ingredients were in the nuggets (explaining my son's allergies), and she wouldn't tell me. I was pretty shocked and asked if she could just tell me the brand of the nuggets so I could check for myself online instead. She rolled her eyes at me, walked away and came back and said 'nope, the chef said he can't say for sure'. I asked if they were from a packet or made on site - and she said they came in a packet. I said that's great I just needed to know the brand, and she sarcastically told me I probably shouldn't 'risk it for the biscuit'. I asked what I was meant to order for him and she just said the chef wouldn't guarantee any of the food. I ended up having to leave because I couldn't order him anything. I have never been so disappointed in service before. I wasn't asking them to make sure the food was safe, I wasn't asking them to take any responsibility - I just wanted to know the ingredients in a pre-made item. The person serving me was so unnecessarily rude, and I have no idea why. Beware to those with, or who have children with, food allergies. We definitely won't be back!

I go to Holmesville hotel regularly of recent but today was just a joke. Went to celebrate my birthday with a small group (7 people). We were waiting for our last 2 to arrive as they were running late. We sat at a table and staff saw us their. At 1 pm when we went to order we were told there was no chips. I understand deliveries can run late but as we were there for 45 minutes a staff member could of advised us there was no chips. We had to leave as most of the menu items come with chips. Very disappointed.
