What a great pub. Very welcoming hosts. Great beer and wine, excellent food, best pizzas. A great camp spot out the side with toilets and hot showers, even outback style camp kitchen. Highly recommend.

What a great place, individual rooms saved me from a mate that snored the whole trip. Excellent menu and prices. Definitely worth stopping to meet the new owners. Fantastic. ??'?

I had dinner here, they served great steak! This hotel is located in a very remote rural area, surprised to know it's been there for more than 100+ years now!

We were really looking forward to having a couple of drinks here but it was very disappointing, bar was dirty, mould on seats, limited food options (we didn't stop to eat) and tables in back covered in bird and spider droppings. Owners were on holiday so may be why but no reason for the place to feel grimy, especially when there were no other patrons so plenty of time to clean.
It's for sale but needs a lot of investment to bring back the history and make this a destination pub again.
It should have been open on the Wednesday we were due a 2nd visit as part of a tour but even tho we let the bartender know, the doors were still closed with no notice. Us plus a couple of other people passing through were left waiting outside while our guide tried to get through to find out if anyone was around but didn't get an answer.
Not worth the drive out unless the pub is shown a bit more tlc.

This historic hotel has real charm and an inviting big fireplace that kept us warm on a chilly day. Out in the middle of knowhere on our way to Lake Mungo. The pub has accommodation also which would be nice to stay and see all the kangaroos at night

Delicious fish and chips served after a long days travel. We had a puncture so arrived 30 minutes after kitchen had closed but they were still happy to feed us. Stayed on for a game of pool and welcome break.

Traditional and historic pub in the middle of nowhere. Great atmosphere and service. A great place to stop either coming from, or going to, Mungo National Park. Not much on tap, but Coopers Red in the fridge at a very reasonable price. Good food options too.

Great place. We were coming out of Mungo National Park a day early because of a weather warning so decided to stay at the Homebush Hotel. The accommodation is basic, but exactly what we were looking for - keeping that remote feeling for an extra day. The pub is great with lots of character. Food was good and the beer was cold. Great hospitality from the publican.

Stopped here on a Sunday and wasn't sure if we would stay but did and didn't regret it. Nugget was behind the bar, and provided the most hospitable service...and I didn't even hold his dodgy Scottish impressions against him. We met lots of the friendly locals and the Sunday pizza, is certainly worth experiencing. We will be back next time driving out west. A must stop on your journey for a friendly drink and a yarn.
