Four of us had a Schnitty. We all loved it. We also had one of the budget rooms and we also were impressed. Would definitely go back. Caught a couple of monster squid off the Jetty as well. Great location for kids with a super playground and BBQ area on the foreshore.

We stopped here for a quick bite, wow. The meals were really good, the kids even enjoyed them (fussy eaters lol). Ice cold beer and nice clean facilities. The staff were super friendly. Highly recommended.

Stayed in the Arno caravan park and took the family here for tea as a last treat at the end of the holiday. Super friendly staff, fantastic food and lovely decor. Really enjoyed our evening.
Photos are:
Seafood Platter for 1
Calamari and Prawn combo
Porterhouse with garlic prawn sauce
Kids meals were also a generous size.

All of the food that we ordered were divine. My mum enjoyed her battered fish and chips. For me, I had chicken Caesar salad and it was by far the best chicken caesar salad that I have ever had. I also ordered spaghetti bolognese for my son, and he had a few mouthful, which meant that he really enjoyed it. I ate his leftover because I didn't like to waste it, and indeed, the spaghetti was delicious! Their toilets and nappy change room were also clean!!! You would always look for that when you have a baby with you. Definitely will come back again! Highly recommended!!!

So here we are, this place is terrible for many different reasons! food orders Incorrectly taking, leaving and returning for the incorrect orders. The wrong sauce and no complimentary for the persons time wasted! Just shocking, I would never order a meal from here again!

Worst experience ever.
Arrogant rude publican.
Arrived Friday night to filthy dirty soiled bed sheets and cover.
Was offered the room next door. Had to check it was clean ourself. Then sat back relaxed ready for a shower to then discover no hot water.
Back to the publican who problem solved, then offered a free beer for the stuff around.
When we decided two days later to have that beer in the front bar.
We were greeted by the publican with. "What are you doing?"
Very strange way to greet your paying guests. We found Jules the bar lady very friendly and chatty as for the publican nothing nice can be said.
Paid top dollar for drinks and no free beer as offered.
Pity I had not read previous reviews, as I wouldn't have put a bid in to start with on Holiday actions..
Regards Di
Ps. Arno Bay is a wonderful beautiful spot, well worth a visit.

I only put one star because of the lovely lady who was nice the publican is the most arrogant, rudest person I have ever met, initially on booking he said they were booked out and very rude so I asked my husband to book the next day and everything was fine and he had the same person, staying there we had one beer and a small gin and tonic and he charged us $27 which we questioned and he was rude and printed a receipt, it wasn't until we read another google review afterwards which stated he bumps up the price to tourists in front of locals at the bar to get a laugh, well we get the last laugh because we decided to not spend any money on food or drinks for the remainder of our stay and would prefer to travel to Cowell or port Neil with lovely, friendly staff, so unfortunate that they have people like this represent our beloved SA

Well must be a different chef on today as our food was not up to scratch
Batter on fish was just stodgy under cooked rubbish.
Beef schnitzel was boot leather with a $5.00 extra old stodgy gravy, just horrible and uneatable .. yep should of stayed at Cowell and eaten, cheaper too.
Good point, barmaid was great.

Amazing. So nice as a full time traveller to walk into a country pub and feel like a local not an outsider. Meals fantastic, beer nice and cold and camping out back for fully self contained. $20 for 3 nights but you get a $10 voucher to spend at either the pub, IGA or cafe. Do yourself a favour and stop here. To the owners/ publicans David and Bev and staff, thankyou so much. 10/10.

Quality old country pub. Friendly staff & cold beer. Plenty of space to find your own spot or relax at the bar with the locals. The grilled whiting was pretty tasty, although I would say closer to city prices at around $35.

Stayed overnight on the way to Port Lincoln: squid schnitzel was awesome and nice country pub vibe. Stayed in a motel room to the rear: comfy and close enough to hear the waves on the beach. nnThe hotel has two 16amp Tesla Chargers for EVs too

Stayed in a motel room with kitchenette. The room was well maintained, clean and fresh with a lovely decor at a reasonable price.
