The place to go here, the Hunter platter for 2, out of this world taste & value, coming back asap & a fantastic outdoor area that can cater for functions too with a million dollar view

Nice Pub just up the road from the Hilton Motel (walking distance). Bear garden right on the Bay.
Friendly staff, good Pub food. The only negative, is that the wine list seems quite expensive.

Would not recommend. The staff were miserable from the get go which should have been the first give away. Didnt see them smile once. Thought given we are in a city known for it's seafood, the hooked platter would be the way to go. How disappointed we were. The calamari was overcooked and rubbery, parts of the fish overcooked and the best part of the mussel pot was the chorizo. The highlight of the platter was the steamed veggies. We appreciate it's Easter Saturday and we are sure they would rather be with their families but if you work in the hospitality industry then it is expected that some level of service is provided. Felt like an inconvenience ordering dinner and drinks, considering no table service and 10% public holiday surcharge.

Was so looking forward to our dinner but was so disappointed!! Great location but let down by the food and poor service. Overpriced and bland. Ordered the spring rolls came with an awful dipping sauce overflowing in small bowl. Steak was very bland, no seasoning on anything. Used bao bun for a so called taco. Would not return.

Had a great lunch after walking along from campsite all alongside the water and port. When we got to the hotel it was perfect , dog friendly , great staff cocktails to die for and our lunch was fantastic...
Would come here again on a heartbeat .. afterwards we went to the beach just below the hotel and if you had kids you could enjoy a drink whilst they played on the beach. Perfect

What a beautiful hotel, didn't have a meal there but enjoyed a drink looking out to the water. Dog friendly supplied water bowls for dogs. The grassed area is awesome, would recommend..

This is a glorious pub with a beautiful view.
Visited twice in two days and the only thing letting it down is the food unfortunately. Both times waited about an hour for food. Both occasions dishes coming out at separate times and it wasn't overly busy. The food it's self was hit and miss. I'd say 3 of the 8 meals were VERY average and 2 were great with everything else in between. All of that aside the people here were absolutely lovely and the beer garden is to die for. I'll be back again next time I'm down and hope to be able to update this review to 5 stars.

Mint Venue on the water. Staff were great. Good pub grub.
Get rid of the balls outside for kids to play with, absolute mayhem. Parents don't watch their kids kicking balls at people while eating, drinking and listening to the band. Several glasses smashed. A hotel is an adult venue and families should be able to dine out, but look after your children and teach them how to behave in a restaurant.
Great job to the staff running out food and drinks dodging the flying missiles.

Stopped here for lunch while on a cruise.
We had a range of dishes (starters, salads, fish and steak).
The surf and turf (with eye fillet) was outstanding. Best seafood mix we have ever had and the steak was excellent, tender and cooked perfectly.
The fish was, as expected, delicious and super super fresh.
Overall the produce across all the dishes was fresh and well prepared.
Highly recommend.

Fantastic night out. Called in for a beer the day before and had to come back for dinner, made a reservation and wasn't disappointed.

Gluten Free options for the daughter, and seafood for the wife before we left Port Lincoln.

Kids had the Boston burgers and we shared the Seafood Platter for two.

The staff were all so pleasant and accomodating

100% fantastic meal and dining experience enjoyed by everyone.

Food took more than hour. Food was way over priced and not very good. Steak was over cooked. Garlic prawns with rice was drowning in sauce with very little rice and maybe 8 prawns. Child carbonara again so much sauce it was hard to eat. Chicken burger was the best meal we had. Payed $190 in total plus a dozen Oysters. Again on the small size and over priced. The views are great though in their beer garden but wouldn't eat here again. Only drinks and then going some where else for dinner. The Italian on the main strip was far superior to the meal we got and cheaper too.

The pub and staff are nice. The food is very expensive for what it is. Nearly a hour wait for our meals, so we just sat there and listened to screaming kids and watched them roll on the floor and play with the main door. My husband had to leave for a breather after the kids ran around our table.
First and last visit for us.

Waited far too long for our main meal and they didn't come out at the same time, even though there was only three of us. Would've been ok if the meals were better. I feel we paid top price for a very average schnitzel. Chewy with a very lame salad. Although lovely setting we were not impressed.

An amazing experience dinning at Hotel Boston with a menu to please all. The price may seem a little on the expensive side but the quality of the meals is just superb, best scotch fillet steak of all time and cooked to perfection. Moreish beer battered fries on the side and small salad with delicious sweet dressing.

Definitely will be returning, and the size of my friends schnitzel was crazy big. Had to take the other half home and as for service just perfectly friendly professional crew.
I love good food and I was not disappointed ??'? family friendly atmosphere and doesn't feel like a pub, more like a restored beautiful building dinner area.

Beautiful pub and unfortunately That's it.
Food quality is very poor for the price.
My eye fillet was definitely less than the size on the menu. It was literally 4 bites and had gristle throughout.
Servers don't quality check nor do they care.
Such a shame.

I had king fish and it was yum. Especially the mango sauce over it. My husband had Whiting which was cooked to perfection. We both really enjoyed our meal.

This is a great location for a good pub, the outdoor dining area is million dollar view. Lovely relaxed vibe.
Meals were great- I ordered tuna which was perfectly cooked

Found this place while cycling on the waterfront path. There was this amazing and inviting garden. We only wanted to stop for a drink, but ended up staying for the whole afternoon and dining. Friendly staff, good food and drink. Highly recommend
