We were greeted at the front door with a smile and moved to our reserved table straight away. Our drinks were ordered and brought to us nice and quick, food was ordered not long after that. I ordered the beef and guinness pie and damn it was loaded, tasted great! Service was good. All in all it was a good evening.

We had dinner. We live around the corner. Being Wednesday, it was steak night. The Rib fillet was fantastic.
It's a pity the kitchen doesn't care for Cyciliac patrons better. They could easily have a dedicated fryer for gluten-free chips and other products. The butcher in Cannon Hill leads the way with everything sold in the shop gluten-free.
Caitlin served us and was excellent.

Overview (Dining):
The Colmslie Hotel offers a spacious and versatile dining experience, with various seating options including a restaurant setting, main bar, beer garden, and a kids terrace for families.

We opted for a dip plate as a starter, which was a great way to begin the meal. For the mains, I chose the crumbed steak with pepper sauce, and my wife chose the salmon with soy plum sauce. The crumbed steak was well-cooked and served with a generous portion of chips and salad. The salmon was nicely cooked but the soy plum sauce was too sweet, so it was replaced with a better option.

The staff, particularly Matt, were polite, helpful, and efficient. Despite a growing queue, the service remained attentive and calm. Meals and drinks were brought out quickly. The staff's neat appearance and efficiency were commendable, and they kindly replaced the salmon at no extra cost.

We enjoyed the relaxed vibe of the main bar, with its comfortable wooden tables and cheerful ambience. The lighting and layout helped maintain a pleasant atmosphere, although some noise from other diners was noticeable.

For a starter and two main meals, we paid $74. The drinks were reasonably priced, considering the current economic climate.

The hotel provides clean and well-maintained male and female toilets, easily accessible behind the billiard tables.

The ample free parking outside the venue was convenient and stress-free.

Our first visit to the Colmslie was enjoyable, and we look forward to returning. The venue offers a comfortable and spacious environment, high-standard food, and friendly staff. There's easy parking and clean toilets.

We went for a funeral wake in one of the upstairs venues. The drinks and snacks were fantastic and the room air-conditioning was lovely on such a hot day outside. Staff were very pleasant and friendly too.

We had dinner in their restaurant. I ordered the 'old faithful ' chicken parmigiana but was very disappointed. It was more like something you buy frozen from a supermarket than a restaurant meal for me. It reminded me of the 'old cafeterias' food that where around a long time ago. We won't be back.

Only ate here, bought 1 small glass of SAV blanc and 1 schooner of alcoholic ginger beer, that was $25.60. food was 6/10, large portions but most of it was over cooked average pub food. 2 kids and two adults dinner circa $85. Playground for kids is good and tables outside, service was fine, place needs a refresh to be honest.

We had drinks and dinner here, We enjoyed the rump steak with mushroom sauce, which was Devine. The garlic prawns has a main, it was perfect ?, great portion of prawns and cup of rice.
The service was quick, and the venue is spacious, stunning plant decor and large tv on display. Comfortable sitting and plenty of pool tables.

Dinner at the Comslie hotel in past years always was a delight, however the quality of food served was average, the service from one staff member was disgusting. In this modern era of food one must be at the tip of their game consider what is on offer in the market place.

Would I eat there again, if the executive chef allows sub standard food to leave the kitchen then no. There is no excuse considering what we are now asked to pay for food.
We dine at least once a week in the restaurant.
The service is fantastic, Sheree and her team run a tight ship, and their attention to our needs is always spot on. They know what we drink, and when we give the OK the drinks arrive promptly.
The menu Specials change weekly and are always great value. All meals are of a terrific size. Fresh produce and attention given to the plating of meals. We've learnt to bring our appetites:).

The floor and bar staff are terrific, great attitude, hell bent on seeing everyone is served promptly. I'm yet to hear anyone complain about the staff or service. I used to be in hospitality, so my radar is always on "high alert" wherever we eat. I know Sheree would be rapid to rectify any issue if we brought one to her attention.
Guess we're regulars, as staff call us by our names, ha ha ha.

This place is awesome! The beds are extremely comfortable, the service was outstanding, dinner at the restaurant was fantastic, check in and out was easy, parking was plentiful and location just perfect. The garden area with the big screen was a favourite! Perfect place to have a Sunday drink with friends. All round awesome place and will definitely be staying there again.

I've been coming here for many years and it's always been a favourite spot. Sad to day the food and the service used to be the best for miles around. I would have to say while still good, it's not to the same standard that it used to be, and like everywhere else, the price has become much higher. I'd like to see the former standards of food and service reached again, because this has always been somewhere I've gone out of the way to bring friends, family, and visitors to.

Not bad for $9.90 with a drink purchased and $10.90 on its own roast lunch.

Although nice food, I was served by a gentleman with a shirt and tie, looked like management, he weren't very friendly. May be he need to attend his own 'customer service' training or take some training.

Recently moved to the area and consistently saw the Steak & Seafood sign everyday whenever we drove past, finally decided to go in and see what it was all about.

I'll keep it short and simple like the food, it was bland, under cooked, under seasoned, over dressed & it felt like the pub was on a budget and the food was made with no love or passion.

The craft beers were nice, cocktails too but would've been a lot nicer if the correct measure of spirits were noticeable in the taste.

Hope management sees this review and improves the quality of their kitchen.

Best service I have ever had in my life. Give these guys a raise. Matt behind the bar was immaculate with great service, friendly chat, and just a good bloke. In the bistro area Tom was great at service with bringing out our meals very efficiently and fast that were delicious by the way. Would definitely come back. Please let these men know how great they are going.

Could not fault anything in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was great. A marvellous four hours spent in a very pleasant atmosphere. We were not rushed away and the manager was even happy to help us with a photo to capture the momentous occasion of our reunion.

Was a bit loud in the restaurant due to a band playing in the other area... besides that.. the service was great.... myself and my mother enjoyed both of our meals.. even though the salad,Was quite acidic but my mother's was salad was fine. So I think I got alot more dressing in mine . Will return though in the future as the positive far out weigh the negative. Even though this may not reflect that... I will definitely return

We had a good time dining at Colmslie Hotel. The seafood was very fresh and the service was good. I have to point out there was a female staff was super nice and friendly. We wanted to take some pictures with our food and the big Christmas tree. She came to us and helped us without us asking. Thank you, The pictures were pretty good!!

We came for the first time for the trivia night. Trivia was good. But our meals took 2 hours to come out! Estimated wait time was an hour. No communication, not much of an an apology and no rectification for the frankly unreasonable wait. Meals were fine. We'll have to get our trivia fix elsewhere.

We had nine people for dinner and our meals did not come out on time one of our guests felt very awkward getting there meal a steak like all of ours earlier and not to mention our food was cold. When we bought this to the staff they dismissed us. we also tried to mention our steaks were not cooked correctly but the staff didn't seem to care. I think for the price paying if something is not done correctly you should be able to rectify it. $48 for a cold steak and food not coming out together is not okay. It's also important to note they were not that busy. I wouldn't recommend.

Very average experience here tonight. Service started off ok, but got progressively worse to the point we had to chase waiters up for things. Not overly polite service.

Meals were pretty boring, missing a little something. Calamari was tough, Guiness pie boring.

Desert (sticky dates) were clearly from a packet, confirmed by my wife biting into a shard of plastic container.

Overall, pretty disappointing. Kids had a ball running around in the playground though!

The staff at the Colmslie Hotel are all incredible, I cannot speak of them highly enough. Nothing was a problem and it didn't matter who you spoke with, everyone throughout the whole establishment was kind and attentive. The room was wonderful, clean and spacious. Would happily stay here again.

I never give reviews on service or food.
We regularly go to your restaurant and service and food has always been a pleasant experience.
Tonight was a game changer 4 family's 9 kids grandparents and friends.
Orders were placed at 530pm or there abouts, drinks kid's meals came 1st
Half the table received there meals, 4 adults waited 40 minutes + for our meals
Steak that ordered medium came out rare. To wait over 40 minutes and not get to eat very very poor service.
Management try to explain they were shot staff. That's fine but we actually watched other people walk into the restaurant well after we have sat waiting for our meals. To receive there steaks well before we received out meals.
Short staff is not , very bad management and a very poor excuse. Was not handled well in anyway..
Waited 40 minutes + for steaks and 1 kids crumb chicken that came out cold that was left on the table.
We spent $650 food and drinks
This definitely wont be our regular restaurant anymore for family catch-up

Perfect for a meal or a beer watching sports.
Laid back enough but still upbeat to have a great time.
Management has done well with the staff, great customer service.

Went for lunch on Sunday 24/7/22. Served by Tymon. He is such a wonderful credit to the restaurant. Took our drinks and meal order and was very attentive and made sure all our orders were correct. Such a pleasure to be served by him.

Great meals starting from under $10 for buffet roast lunch with a chef waiting to serve you.

The restaurant is a simple menu and yet interesting. A chef has put some serious effort into this menu to cater for families, intimate couples plus it also caters those seeking to satisfy a more sophisticated palate.

The food absolutely delectable. House made sauces really stand out and lift the dishes.

Service is extremely friendly and helpful. Priced very affordably I have no hesitation in recommending the Colmslie.

There is also a very relaxed and inviting beer garden with huge sports TVs and a fun atmosphere in good old fashioned traditional pub style.

Well done. I'll be back soon.

Hidden gem of a restaurant and drinking hole. With loads of parking available.
One of the few places i have found with a Guiness on tap and bubbles by the glass.
The food was great and overall the experience was fantastic with a HUGE screen outdoors to watch sports and heaters to keep one warm scattered around the area.
Have to go back for another burger as i gobbled it up so quickly.
The steak was cooked perfectly and the fries were super crispy and well seasoned.
Highly recommend

Had a very special, long overdue, gathering at the Colmslie hotel with old work mates. But what really made the afternoon great was the atmosphere at the Colmslie. The waiting staff were amazing and friendly, the food was sensational and fresh and the price on the food was expected for the quality. I feel the price of spirits were high but it didn't take anything away from the afternoon. Would we come back again absolutely yes

We visited the colmslie for Mother's Day buffet and we had the best experience ever. The food was incredible, fresh and a great variety and even the coffees were fantastic. All staff members were so attentive, helpful and friendly. My whole family was seriously impressed. The kids play area was also amazing as my 2.5 year old cannot sit still.
Thanks for a great experience - we will be back!

Popped into the colmslie hotel for lunch. Their were plenty of Christmas parties going on but the service was quick and attentive. I had the choice of sitting inside where they serve the carvery or in the outside beer garden.Went for a club sandwich. It was really tasty with plenty of chicken and avo will have again along with a cold beer.Nice and relaxed place with plenty of options.Cheers.
