Hotel Gosford, Gosford NSW

Great location. The room and facilities were excellent. The food was fantastic. I found that parking was a bit of a problem. If you go out and return later, you may not find parking at the hotel. We had to park several hundred metres away.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Check in was at the bar, so I had to wait between beers to get service. Then the lady's attitude with me didn't really seem like she cared if I stayed there or not, wasn't unfriendly, just wasn't very welcoming either. They wouldn't take cash or cash deposit, so you have to wait 3 days for a return. The place was nice and tidy, but the room was so small. Just enough room for a single bed and my suitcase. The bathroom is shared between the whole floor, but they are pretty nice considering things. Theres no guest parking, so you have to fight for a space with the people drinking there, you go for a drive to get food, come back and it's already full, so you need to park up the street. It gets pretty loud and rowdy there at night, due to the drunks. Overall I think it's a good place to basically go and sleep for the night and rest, but I wouldn't recommend staying there very long. Not sure at $90 per night if it would be worth spending a week there for $630 then a $100 deposit. That seems pretty extreme to me for what it is and what you need to put up with while being there

It's my second time here with my family within the last 3 weeks. And we can't wait to get back. The food is superb, the atmosphere is relaxing, the staff members are one of the friendliest and most welcoming and helpful. Special thanks to Jenna, Lisa and Nathan for making our Sunday dinner even more special. Can't thank you enough guys

We went to Earls Kitchen for diner. Two of us had the $35 Black Angus Rump. Despite being cooked exactly as requested (one medium/ rare and the other medium / welldone), both were very, very tough. They were served with steak knives, but should have come with a healthy serving of 'elbow grease' to help with the cutting. We sent one of them back and then waited an unreasonable time for the replacement. One of the other meals served (fish and chips) was also quite sub standard (lots of batter, not much fish). It's a pity, because it was otherwise a good venue, but based on our dining experience, we won't be going back again.

I've been to the Gosford Hotel many times since the renovation, and this place is fantastic. The food has great variety, lots of different interesting specials, taste is always perfect, and it's reasonably priced. Aside from the standard beer and wine, they have a great cocktail list.
Booking online, even last minute is really convenient as well.
