Hotel Lona

I don't do reviews but Hotel Lona was awesome. The Brisket Sandwich was to die for, the meat melts in your mouth. The service was quick, exceptional and the staff were terrific. The restaurant was warm and inviting. We will absolutely come back.

Pretty disappointed with our dinner last night. Firstly no table service and had to order at the bar, then I decided to get the catch of the day which was $38 but was for our anniversary so thought I'd treat myself & my partner got the Parma for $19 special (bargain). Then the food came out and the portion size was TINY. Beyond disappointing I mentioned to the server if this was seriously the size of fish and she said it was and I said it was so small for the price so she said she would speak to the chef. So she did, but she never came back. Never came back to see if our meal was ok and never offered for any sort of compensation. I looked up the rockling fish and it wasn't even much more expensive than a classic snapper. We go there often for a night out but will never be back to dine in.

We had lunch as Lona on Sunday, in the dining room. The venue was not busy, and we had excellent service with attentive waiters.
The food was fresh and delicious, and not overpriced. Will definitely be back!

The staff are amazing, so attentive and accomodating. The food was just as delicious as the cocktails and the venue itself is modern and well kept with a really great vibe. There's nowhere else as good as this place in Frankston or the surrounding suburbs. Will definitely be back.

Hotel Lona in Frankston is an absolute gem! The food is outstanding, with a menu that boasts both classic favorites and unique, flavorful dishes. The live music adds to the vibrant atmosphere, creating the perfect evening. Hotel Lona offers an ambiance that's both inviting and lively. From the friendly staff to the awesome upstairs bar and live music, it's definitely an awesome place to eat and drink in Frankston. Highly recommend!"

We had dinner at Hotel Lona last night. The vibe was great and the staff were lovely - service for both drinks and food was quick. We ordered the vegan 1/4 pounder burger, vegan tacos and wedges. The only thing we liked & finished eating were the wedges. The vegan 1/4 pounder burger was over sauced (aioli), missing the vegan cheese and just a bit boring/bland. The chips it came with were under seasoned, if they were seasoned at all. The vegan chicken in the tacos was really unpleasant, I only took one bite. The tacos would have been much better if the 'chicken' was a crispy crumbed tender. We also ordered four alcoholic drinks which were all lovely. Overall though, we will not be back to eat here as the food was unfortunately very disappointing.

Was really impressed with this local gem. Great variations on the menu to suit everyone including vegans.

Well priced and large portions with a centrally located venue with a new fit out. Extensive cocktail menu was very impressive!

Would recommend updating the menu online and consider a specials menu to rotate for people who visit often but overall, will be back!

We had lunch and drinks on the rooftop on a beautiful sunny day, and it was delightful. Our food was lukewarm when it arrived to our table - which wasn't great, but it was still so delicious that we didn't really mind. The service was great, and the ambience on the rooftop was really lovely. We're already making plans to go back!
