Went there on a Sunday night, but potentially too late? I think I arrived at 20:12, but couldn't see any show running. I'm a tourist, I mostly went there because of the Priscilla movie, dunno, maybe I was just too late. I went up on the roof to have some food. I had a pizza there which probably would make any real Italian weep and wish for home. Soot on the bottom as well as on the top, an uninteresting tomato sauce with no spice or anything (probably just a pack from the supermarket)... I think they're not really using Mozzarella, but something else, and then not enough of that, but instead cover the whole of it with flakes of some other cheese that doesn't belong on a real pizza. When the mess finally arrived, I ate it all with the same uninspired attitude it had been created with.
When I returned downstairs about an hour later, the place seemed to have started closing procedures. I asked a staff member and was told that the layout of the place was quite different when the movie was shot and the staging area being shut down was not the original setting. I hope one of the disco balls was still original.
I didn't try to check out the basement or anything after that, but moved on...
Dunno, I sort of may have had the very same disappointed feelings that made the protagonists of the Priscilla movie leave the sorry place, too...
