I love trying to visit as many great punk rock bars around the world as I can, and stumbling upon the Jolly Roger totally made my night! A friend of mine found it while searching some places on a Monday, and I'm so glad we stopped in.
It was far from packed, but there was still a birthday party and a few regulars around - I can only imagine what it's like on a weekend - and our bartender was the best. She made a ton of recommendations and offered small samples to offer up a variety of great rum from the collection.
The three of us had a mix of a few beers and cocktails, and never waited too long to be looked after. The soundtrack was heavy on 00's/10's pop-punk, emo, screamo, and metal - zero complaints here.
I wish I took more pics of the decor inside the bar but was enjoying myself too much to do so. This is up there in terms of the vibe and service. Can't miss when you're in Brisbane.
