Not sure about the rooms but the restaurant was good. Great pub food. I didn't expect much but the daily special $15 steak was perfectly cooked, medium rare as requested, tender and delicious.

The chips although crunchy was dense and gravy was a bit bland but for $15 with the yummy steak and a side salad, can't complain. I would come again.

Wasn't too noisy, easy to talk. Food took a while to come but we had quite a big table.

Service was great, and the food was delicious and cheap. Staff accommodated my group with a table when they noticed that we were unable to find an empty one available.

The Kent Street Hotel does good pub food. The pub is located at street level, about a 5 minute walk from Town Hall Station.

We came here for the $15 steak special as we were recommended by another family member to do so. It was a good meal. The steak was cooked well to each of our preferences. You could taste the charred flavour from the grill. There is a choice of sauce to go with the steak. I liked that it was in a side container and not poured directly onto the steak. That way the chips stayed nice and crispy. Everything was well seasoned. The steak and chips were a good temperature. There was a generous serve of mixed leaf salad with dressing. The plate was well presented too.

Service was good and couldn't be faulted. We were given a friendly greeting on arrival. Staff were upbeat, friendly, helpful and courteous. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Staff also let us sit and chat and didn't hurry us to leave which I appreciated.

The pub has a good vibe. The colour scheme is good. There is a mix of high stools, tables and chairs and lounge type seating.

This pub is a good find and I would recommend coming. I am keen to try the other daily specials!

The food came out very quickly, and it was delicious. We all had the $15 steak and we were all surprised by the excellent quality and size of the meal. We definitely recommend for a good meal. PS. It is a hotel, so it has a bustling atmosphere.

Great place for lunch. Has a delicious schnitty.
