The Sebel Kiama, Kiama NSW

Having a good mattress, good pillows and good quality linen made my sleeping experience very special. The room was clean and spacious. Customer service was excellent. A good breakfast; a very pleasant restaurant where to enjoy a good meal and drinks. Just a short stroll to the main street. I loved this place.

We booked a weekend stay at the hotel, looking forward to a relaxing retreat, only to be completely overwhelmed by the constant noise from a wedding event that was taking place on the property. From the moment we checked in, it was clear that the staff were more focused on accommodating the wedding party than on guest comfort.

The noise was unbearable. There was loud music blaring from the reception hall until well after midnight, and even after that, we could still hear the muffled sounds of shouting, laughter, and clinking glasses. The walls seemed paper-thin, and no matter how many times we called the front desk to complain, nothing was done to address the issue.

To make matters worse, the hotel seemed unprepared for the disruption. No one at the front desk warned us about the wedding or its potential impact on our stay. We had specifically chosen this hotel for a peaceful getaway, but it felt like we were staying in the middle of a constant party. I understand that weddings are a significant event, but there should be a better system in place to separate such loud, festive activities from guests who are there for quiet relaxation.

The hotel's response to our concerns was disappointing. We were offered no apology, no compensation, and no alternative room options, even though it was clear we were being affected by the event. It's frustrating to feel like your comfort and peace are secondary to an event like this.

If you're planning a stay here, I would strongly recommend checking if there are any events or weddings scheduled during your visit, as it seems the hotel prioritizes those over guest satisfaction. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful, restful experience. The noise made it impossible to enjoy what should have been a relaxing weekend.

We spent a couple of nights (Sun - Tue) at the Sebel Kiama and the room was nice a large with a small kitchen and bath in the large bathroom. The bathroom and kitchen although dated were very clean had everything we needed.
The view was excellent, we had the buffet breakfast in the large dining room which had a good selection of food.
The staff were very friendly and overall we had a great stay.

We had 2 apartments for our wedding. The deluxe apartment was beautiful. The rooms were perfect, and the apartment was perfect. The only thing that was lacking was the utensils in the kitchen. the superior apartment had a dishwasher, unlike the deluxe apartment which seemed odd . the glass window to the outdoor area was so clean that there was no safety strip on the door. we were there for 5 mins before
my son ran straight into the closed door. my bridal party was sitting outside to hop off one of the chairs and see the hugest spider sitting right on the back of the seat. Over all the space we had to get ready for our wedding was perfect. The spa was nice and big after a long day. 100% would stay again and I know other guests enjoyed their stay to.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Room was a great size, included a couch and coffee table, huge tv and small table and chairs. Coffee and tea station was great, lots of glasses and cups. Very clean and spacious bathroom. Excellent view of Kiama harbour, lovely gym and breakfast buffet, and really easy walk to the nearby blowhole and Kiama business district. Would stay again.
