I'd like to start this of by saying this review was derived from what could have been a nightmare.
Riding through Australia on motorcycles, a "once in a lifetime" experience, we chose this hotel to be a point of rest for a few days.
The second day here, my rental motorcycle was hit in the carpark by another person parking her car. I didn't handle the matter very well, but the staff here were incredibly understanding about my emotions and full of nothing but support and help.
First of all, Rob. He was some kind of maintenance guy, offer found in the carpark setting things straight. He took my anger and stress respectfully. The situation was absolutely nothing to do with him, but he handled it like a caring professional, and had even the sense to take photos of the immediate aftermath of the incident. Here's the thing. He's not front desk, he's behind the scenes and not really a face of the hotel. Yet, genuinely cares and had a full on honest approach. Those traits should be taken note of by the hotel branch because that characteristic is hard to come by these days.
The reception staff also handled the situation amazingly, although one stood out over the rest. Her name was Chloe. After leaving the manager all the details of my rental company, he said he left a message and would let me know. The morning after, I approached the reception to find out if there was any news. It was there I found Chloe with all the paperwork from my rental company. It was in fact her that had spent her early morning hours trying her very best to somehow find a way of contacting the rental, and I mean proper research. I was quite taken back by the level of care and enthusiasm she had put into it for me. Yes, you may say it's her job, but there was more than that involved. Work is work. With customer care you need to show you care, but you don't "genuinely" need to. However, I truly believe she cared from her heart, and that again is a characteristic that should be cherished by any company lucky enough to have these kinds of people representing them.
I would certainly say, this is a great place to be.
To Chloe, I thank you for genuinely caring
To Rob, if yr ever in Finland, I own a cabin on my land that I use as a guest house. You'd be welcome to come ride motorcycles and stay in the cabin with yr missus in yr own peace.
I'm greatful to people who still know what matters.
Give them both the recognition they deserve.
