Kinselas Hotel - Pub Near Me in Darlinghurst New South Wales

I originally walked into Kinselas for a quick drink. However, the staff were great, the music was great, and the drinks were reasonably priced, which enticed me to stay for a lot longer than originally planned. One bartender in particular really stood out. Their name was Nicki. They always served with a big, friendly smile, and they had a very bubbly personality. The best part was that they would dance behind the bar, on the dance floor, or whilst picking up the empty glasses... any chance they could when they weren't serving drinks. This encouraged others to join in. It really made the night very enjoyable. Will definitely be going back.

This place has great food, has a high turnover over of staff that don't seem to know what they are doing specifically when it comes to make cocktails. Beers are constantly out of stock, otherwise good verity. Tables are left with dirty dishes for hours. Management might need some new KPI's. Great events consistently on. Just a bit more love is needed to service

We went for a DJ Event, held in the upstairs area. Had a few drinks first in the middle bar. Staff were friendly and approachable ( especially the staff who sourced the pink gin 😉) but obviously inexperienced. Great vibe, with balcony area and great air con. Upstairs is a great space to dance but so horrendously hot it was unbearable and the difference in air temp between the 2 levels was incredible. If it's to make people drink more, it doesn't work... So many people left or went downstairs. Would I come to another event upstairs? Probably not 😕

Goodlooking bar in a very nice neighbourhood. Unfortunately, the cocktail was very disappointing. I ordered a Whisky Sour, but what I got had nothing to do with a whisky sour. No eggwhite on it, way to much whisky in comparison and it was served with ice in it + in the wrong glass. I didn't try any complex cocktail, just a classic one and it still wasn't what it's supposed to be.
The atmosphere is very nice, the staff is very friendly, but unfortunately quality of drinks is more important in a bar.

Apart from needing fans as it was very Hot Kinselas hosted a great venue for our 78ers Xmas gathering. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming.
