Kitty Somerset

One of the coolest bars I've come across recently. I went to Kitty Somerset for post-dinner drinks and stayed till late. I'm a Bloody Mary lover so I'm always on the hunt for the whackiest Bloody Marys in Melbourne. The Bloody Pho at Kitty Somerset is definitely one to remember. A combination of tomato juice and bone broth, if you ask me, the perfect combo! I ordered two of them they were so good (I'm a weirdo I know). The vibes of the bar were great, and it was pretty busy. Can't wait to return!

Absolutely delightful bar, the strapping British lad was exquisite and serves a mean drink. Stunning fireplace, highly recommend for a winters eve.

I have been coming here for many years, and after so long my experiences here just keep getting better.
As you walk in past Chesterfield couches and a fireplace, you are greeted at the bar by some of the loveliest and most competent bar staff around. I have never had a bad drink here. Menu drinks are made perfectly, but also bartenders can make you something they think you would like. Memorable experiences include the Agent Orange, and I think the other one was called Run Run Run. The Agent Orange cocktail was like an espresso martini with orange in it. And the Run Run Run cocktail was like a Vietnamese iced coffee and was served with a piece of stroopwaffel, which was delightful - I just wanted the entire biscuit!
The lighting here is really good, not at all confronting. And there is a nice courtyard out the back, and the energy here just seems to encourage great conversations.

A relaxed bar with drinks and a snack menu. Variety of standard bar drinks. A courtyard, smoking area at the rear. Parking on high st or close to PT/ tram.

Nice vibe, but average cocktails at best and unrefrigerated vermouth.
