Fake natural snow depth shown on their Web site which shows as 1.3m ????

Get a life!!

It's all fake info just to attract people.

It's scammm!!

There is not a single proper ski trail.
Old facilities and not being maintained at all.
Such a waste of money and time.
Won't come back ever.
I'm a inter/advanced skier.

We recently embarked on a trip to Perisher to get some skiing/boarding into our legs (5 adults/5 young teens). Despite the fact that we did have lots of fun, pretty good snow & a great experience in general - bottom line is: What one gets for what one pays is not really balanced. The lift equipment is ancient (esp. charilifts without foot rests). Hospitality offerings on the mountain reminded me on the 80s. But especially ticket prices are mind blowing. 2 to 4 times what one would pay in modern proper ski ressorts overseas. 250+ dollars for a day pass is just too much.

Will I come back: maybe

My family and I ski here every year and absolutely love this place. This season, I decided to purchase 5 advanced ski lessons just to tidy up my form and to improve my carving. I booked for the lessons to be at the same time every day and basically had the same people in the class all the way through. However, every day we had a different instructor who asked us what we wanted to focus on, rather than assessing what we need to do to improve. We had to relearn things we'd already gone over and teachers taught vastly different. This made it difficult to improve each day because we'd be focusing on something a little bit different rather than building upon knowledge from the day before. On the Friday they didn't even offer an advanced class and I was stranded in a mixed ability group which didn't necessarily cater to the more advanced skiers.
Most instructors were good, however I had three instructors who wouldn't actually watch anyone ski enough to offer really tailored or personal advice.

Overall, I would still recommend lessons if anyone feels out of control, or even if they want to feel better about their skiing. Basically, everyone will get something out of it. However, it could be far more effective if one instructor was put on a specific level for the whole week.

"I had an incredible time snowboarding at Perisher Mountain! The variety of runs catered to all skill levels, from gentle slopes for beginners to challenging terrain for more advanced riders. The snow conditions were excellent, with fresh powder that made for a thrilling experience.

The lift system was efficient, minimizing wait times and allowing us to maximize our time on the slopes. I also appreciated the friendly staff and well-maintained facilities, including cozy lodges for warming up and grabbing a bite to eat.

The scenery was breathtaking, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Overall, Perisher is a fantastic destination for snowboarding, and I can't wait to return for more adventures!"

We had the pleasure of having Ben (Benoit Vidotto) as our private full day instructor on 03/08/2024.

We couldn't be more grateful for his exceptional patience and dedication. Despite our group of six having varying levels of experience, Ben ensured that each one of us received personalized attention and instruction. His ability to teach us with such care and perseverance, especially while navigating the challenging slopes, was truly remarkable. Ben's professionalism and expertise have made our skiing experience unforgettable. We wholeheartedly believe he is an outstanding instructor.

Plan well ahead and book everything in advance for the peak snow season and be prepared for queues no matter what. Once your expectations are set, head out very early, then you'll appreciate all this place has to offer and you might even be lucky with "wait time".

No lifts really open. The ones that are, are very crowded, Vail don't invest in Perisher at all while charging $230 for a day pass.

None of the restaurants I've been to accept the epic pass so how can they really advertise it getting discounts if you can't use it?

Almost no detachable lifts. Ski tube is now $80 a day for a train that is 40 years old. Further, I saw a poster online (likely from the early 90s), of a $10 return special. Inflation and maintance costs would not increase by 9x in 30 years. This is price gouging at its finest.

My season pass I paid $1000 for didn't work, so we had to ski down to the bottom and spend an hour sorting it. Further, there was no notification that my existing card would be loaded with my new season pass. Of course you have to pay $5 for a plastic card. In whistler, they're free.

The service we received from Mark Slavin helping us with our lift tickets was exceptional. He could not have been more friendly or efficient. He had people coming at him with queries from all directions and he calmly helped multiple parties at once. An awesome display of customer service.

Great place to ski.
Good deal on season pass.
They don't have a contact phone number meaning if there is a problem with you purchasing you ticket, you can only email them! Meaning you miss out on discounts they offer for pre purchasing products.
If you go, hope you enjoy waiting 10minutes for a ride too.

Accommodation was great. Skiing was pretty good with decent weather. If the conditions deteriorate due to rain or snow, the ski runs are not marked adequately, and this makes it difficult to ski. Some of the lift operators are extremely rude. Most staff are searching for a please and a thank you, but they let themselves and their team down as they have way too much ego. There's room for improvement here which smells like an opportunity for the right recruiting & training organisation. Hopefully the service and ski runs get better?

The guest service is just arbitrarily poor. We had lessons booked and their terms of service say you can't move the lessons within 48 hours (unless it suits them). But there is clearly plenty of availability for the lessons on the day we booked and the day we asked to move (because of predicted poor weather, not change of mind) and rather than just press a couple of buttons and move the date, they spend the same amount of time sending an email back saying sorry, you've asked something that couldn't even be achieved by a Royal Commission. Overall this is the second time we've been this year and the facilities are poor and dated, their guest services are useless and their policies are just unnecessarily convoluted and negative. The experience has made it likely that I will never return to a ski field in Australia and just go to (unbelievably) cheaper and better run ski fields in other countries. Well done team.

Great skiing and helpful staff.
Very expensive if you want to ski or buy food. I would recommend packing food if you're not prepared to spend $28 on a chicken wrap or $16 on a hotdog..
Try to buy ski lift passes a week before as they're cheaper and if your skiing for a week or more, maybe look at an annual pass..

Very good Ski Resort with lots of options to have fun in the snow. Luckily overnight the snow had created a soft layer across the whole ski resort. However my trip was short but we will be back.

Fantastic. Lots of parking and easy walk to lifts and hire outlets. Limited food options.

Can do snow play to the right of car park which the kids enjoyed.

Gets really busy. Have not stayed here but there is a bus between here and smiggens.

Giving them 1 star because their guest services team is remarkably unresponsive. If you have any issues or questions with your booking, good luck because you'll need it! Firstly, they do not have any phone number so you'll be waiting, in my instance, days for a response to your inquiry. I wanted to cancel my booking, so they give you credit that must be used by end of season. No cash refunds so beware. But, then the snow credits are incredibly difficult to use. Instructions say its transferrable to family members, but when tried, it wasn't working. Guest services kept on referring me to the same article, which was not helpful. Each correspondence takes several hours or days, which is incredibly frustrating.

With ski passes being such a large investment, I would caution you in going to Perisher if issues arise. You can say goodbye to your money. There are several other mountains, many less expensive, that offer much better customer service and are still just as fun.

@Perisher, if you see this, please respond back to me. It's been days

Honestly the best ski resort in Australia and the largest one. Last year I went skiing with my family here and I enjoyed every last bit, apart from leaving and getting covid... Anyways the resort is completely family friendly and also good for experienced skiers and snowboarders. There are so many trails to go down and it's just so peaceful. If I could change one thing about it though it would be in the summer if they could do what Thredbo does and turn the ski resort into a MTB park. But yeah the snow is normally good and there's not much more to say!

Great for families with young kids - a memorable day in the snow. Took the kids there last winter and had a great day out with the toboggans in the designated area without having to pay the chair lift fees. They also had a tube ride, which cost extra, but it was fun. Make sure you get back to the car by the time the sun sets, as it gets icy cold really quickly.

It is a great place for a family holiday but of course it is expensive especially for a family. A bit crowded on the weekends and holidays so more toilets with fresh air and carparks would help. The Train also gets over crowded and is expensive. But memories forever.
Try to be early and have a big breakfast to keep you going. Staff, lifts , scenery are fantastic. Some healthier food options would be appreciated.
Probably be back again this year so I guess I rate it. ???

Had to cancel Epic Pass for 2023 due to injury. Contacted them via phone the computer said only contact via email. Then I sent multiple emails with no reply. Very bad service. Not only me having this problem after reading the reviews. One said: Do not honour season pass refunds. A consistent issue, well known by the ACCC and fair trading. They'll take your money in a heart beat, but you'll never hear from them when lodging a refund request (supported by the correct paperwork as dictated by their own T&Cs). No way to contact them aside from email; and as mentioned, good luck getting a response. Appalling CS.'

I Totally agree

One of the best place to visit with your family and friends especially if you have kids. Our kids had a blast in the snow. We visit it after winter and still has snow. We did a snow ball fight, we make an igloo and a snow man/our version of olaf. It was such a fun experience.

Had a wonderful one day ski trip here, the snow was amazing and the lift lines were relatively short, heaps of lifts open and a good variety of slopes. It was super easy and quick to get our lift passes. The biggest downside was the massive price for one day lift passes and it was difficult to get up the mountain in a 2 wheel drive if you don't want to pay for the ski tube. Overall a good experience.

The snow was so incredible considering it's almost the end of the season.. So grateful for the big 60cm dump last weekend..
Was gorgeously sunny first couple days & got cold & misty today that added to the experience..
was very well kept...
All of the chair and T bar were up and running and the queues were short. Some of the runs were a bit icy but not too bad and could be skied right over..
Some of the tracks that are super icy are closed but it won't deter you from having fun & creating memories..
I recommend you leave as early as possible to get a parking spot as it fills pretty quickly & they've now extended the season due to the incredible conditions yay
because it gets insanely packed very quickly...
I'm sure you'll have a blast !
Go get out & explore !
Fun

snow was surprisingly great for September and was very well kept. All of the chair and T bar were up and running and the queues were short. Some of the runs were a bit icy but not too bad and could be skied right over. I recommend you leave as early as possible to get a parking spot because it gets insanely packed very quickly. I would recommend getting there at around 7:30 which gives you the best chance at getting a good parking. Also giving you the longest amount of time to be able to ski.

I hadn't been to the snow in 6 years and cannot believe the price of a lift ticket. Especially considering the crowds there. Some lift queues took 40 minutes. Everything else, I would have given 5 stars but the lift ticket and overcrowding needs to be immediately addressed. It was so hard to spend almost $200 a day on the ticket alone. I love skiing but I don't think it's worth it for that price. I'll find somewhere more reasonable.

Came for a feed with friends. Food wasn't bad but not many food options either. It was pretty pricy, and most items averaged at $25+ (not including drinks) but apparently a standard price for perisher.

I ordered the beef lasagna with chips. You get to choose chips or mash and add vegetables too.
The chips were a good serving size and really nice and crispy. You could fill up on chicken salt and condiments to your liking on the self serve desk.

The beef lasagna was not bad. It was a bit mushy in the centre, however it was a good size and they had a good chunk of cheese on top of the lasagna; just the way I like it.

I ate around 1:30pm and the line was still pretty long, however not a long wait as they do serve you pretty quickly. Staff were nice and friendly too.

Had such an amazing experience at Perisher, It was my first time ever seeing snow and snowboarding. The staff there were super kind and helpful and the ski hills were well maintained. My main problems were that everything was quite pricey along with the ski hill being extremely busy. Unless you were willing to pay for a lesson the steep slopes were kinda difficult to learn on, Sort of a being thrown into the deep end kind of situation. As for the small area provided for learning it was just far too small for the sheer amount of people in there, any attempt to ski down it would almost certainly end in you taking out a family or two. All and all tho it was such a mystical experience to be able to see snow and learn how to snowboard on it.

Always a great experience. Staff do their best. But I completely overwhelmed at peak times. Lessons are at ground level though they make you buy lift tickets. Lift tickets always a rip off. Take caution with everything you do. Especially the T bar lift which people tend to fly off with young children and get stuck halfway up the mountain. It's all part of the thrilling experience but take caution. I think that in future the safety will be improved.

I buggered my knee day 1 of 5. Perisher Ski Resort were super friendly and helpful in response. They guided me to the medical centre. Then offered us a full refund, as a credit to be used between now, and the end of next snow season. We were super happy with this result. It was quick, easy and friendly. We will definitely be back next year. But will play a little safer next time! 🙈 In the meantime, we got to enjoy camping at the snow. 🧚‍♀️ Cheers Perisher!

Great place for all ages. The kids had a ball. The ski instructors where fantastic although obviously wanted to entice them back for more lessons.
We has a great time and will be back, logs of mountain to explore and runs for all types. Simggins holes is fantastic for the kids with short lift lines and plenty of tracks.

Perisher is the best ski resort in Australia. It is the largest ski resort (was once three ski resorts, but then they all combined to create Perisher). There is ample amounts of lifts, T-bars everywhere to keep you going all day. A wide variety of greens, blue and black runs to suit everyone. Allow time to get up the skitube from the bottom, as it takes approximately 30 minutes. Lots of restaurants scattered around the resort as well! Happily return here, as it's my favourite place to ski.

There is a constant trade-off at Perisher between conditions of the snow and the size of the crowds.
The crowds we're average the week we were there because the snow cover was "average" .... at best. When the snow cover is good the place gets very - very crowded.
They either need to build a much bigger car park or reduce the cost of the ski tube. I would use the ski tube regularly if it was not extortionately expensive.

Fresh snow this weekend! We had so much fun in spite of the limited number of lifts that are operational. Can't wait for next month. Great place and experience for family and friends to enjoy God's beautiful creations. Special mention to the shuttle driver who did an excellent customer service.
