Had lunch here. Pretty quiet as expected in the off season I guess. Nice friendly service. Good specials and a simple but eclectic menu. Food was presented well and cooked very well. All fresh and clean.
Big servings as well. I had the open souva special. My mum had the entree dumplings off the menu. We devoured both. Coffee was ok however I was told there was no barista on, still was good enough.
I definitely recommend goung here if you are in the area. I believe they are also a brewery so I might try a beer next time. ?

Fantastic publican, great little country pub. We rolled in at 7pm on a Sunday night and he couldn't have been more accomodating. The chef came out to speak with us and was happy to work with dietary requirements on the fly. Fire was on, beers were cold and the word is that camping is free. 10/10 worth the stop.

Good satisfying feed. Fish was overcooked in the fish and chips ($28) but generous serving sizes and great service

Being a huge lover of seafood my tastebuds were exceptionally happy with Chef Beep's Seafood Marinara... loved the vibe, great atmosphere and service.

How good is this place. The traditional Aussie pub that's stuck in a time warp from the 60s.
To be sitting next to the open fire in the front bar eating a parma with chips, drowning a Carlton.

Great pub, great food, and friendly staff that are always up for a chat and a laugh. They get very busy in the evenings so that speaks for itself. A very fine establishment.

Wow Great home style large cooked meals, rare gem these days, food was just delicious ? even the vegetables were cooked to perfection, and I like that you get chunky steamed veg, none of this frozen packet stuff, friendly staff, and lots of pictures of the original pub on the walls, pub has a really nice atmosphere ???-

This hotel is one of the best little country pubs I've ever been to...
The service from the publican was so friendly and as we are new to the area very informative information was gladly given. The lunches were very tasty and huge servings too...
Atmosphere was comfy n warm with open fire place and a great selection of reading materials and photos of the historical past of this quaint town...
The restaurant and beer garden were clean and inviting too.
Highly recommend this hotel for a great meal great conversation in a warm environment.

Great little historic Pub. The food is fresh and good size for the price. Dinner menu is delicious and it's friendly staff are more than happy to accomadate most needs.,including Vegan options. Very neat and cosy, decor, well worth stopping in.

No Heart and Soul
You were told your pizzas were in for the 6pm time slot and were happy to come in early have a drink before that at time of booking.
You were told pizza only menu.
And yet you review to criticise.
No one in room with you other than your group.....we sold 50 pizzas that night.
No heart and Soul only in your mirror

Got to say, I was presently surprised with this place.
Was initially a little worried when I told them I was gluten-free and they looked at the menu and then said they have never really made anything gluten free before.
But within no time they had gone through the menu and were able to work out that they could do an open steak sandwich with a side of salad.
Order it and within what felt like less than 5 minutes it was cooled and dished up in front of me.
It is the first time I have been here but will definitely go back again the next time I'm in the area.

Made a booking for 5pm to arrive and be told they don't open until 530pm. Pre ordered pizzas even though we were dining in as we were told at the time of booking this was the best method to get them early as they can only cook a few pizzas at a time. A local who phone ordered his pizzas while we were waiting received his pizzas before us. When we did get our pizzas at 615pm we wee given four pizza boxes to our table by a lady who said "is that alright? Do you want plates and cutlery as we don't usually do that".
No heart, no soul, average pizza, dead flies on the windows sills and not worth the 20 minute journey from home...no wonder we were the only ones dining in!

Great little country pub, friendly staff, great food and cold beer. Never had a bad meal here so far. Favourites have been the johnny cash parma and the bangers and mash. Definitely worth stopping in if you're in the area??'??

Went there and order Johny Cash Parma and Parma. HUGE SIZE! And the BBQ sauce and Mushroom Sauce were delish.

Ordered a Chicken Parma with chips and salad mmm delicious washed down with a schooner of Carlton Draught
